Yeah I can say they are giving you weapons but is that the guarantee of china will take part in ind-pak war from pakistani side?

I am quite confident, apparently along with the whole Indian establishment, that China will not really go to war with India for Pakistan.......unless something extremely radical happens, which there is no possibility of.

However, I along with all your establishment are also quite on the same page that if China ever goes to war with India, Pakistan may consider it an opportunity to take back Jammu Kashmir.......and in the meantime assist China and bring Indian military to a point where it never threatens any of her neighbours.

Actually, both countries will cease to exist, the difference being a quick death for Pakistan and a long, painful and excruciating death for India...........along with severe repercussions for the population of Iran, Afghanistan, China, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and extreme hardships for the rest of the world due to severe shortage of food.

New Delhi: The Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal PP Reddy on Monday warned that India should be prepared for war on both fronts, namely China and Pakistan.

He also said that a nuclear war in the subcontinent could not be ruled out.

Reddy added that China was supplying weapons to Pakistan.

"Both our neighbours are equipped with nuclear weapons. There is a possiblity of rise in terrorists attacks. India has to be cautious from both the sides and should be prepared for any war," said PP Reddy.

He further said, "China is building ports, providing loans and exporting arms to all our neighboring countries. However, the state of our defense doesnt allow us to compete with China."

The alarming statement from Reddy has come at a time when heavy exchange of firing is going on between Indian troops and Pakistan rangers at the Line of Control.

Air Marshal PP Reddy took over the charge of Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff in July last year.

Meanwhile, the United States has cleared the path to grant financial aid to Pakistan. The US Secretary of State John Kerry has certified that the Pakistani government has taken appropritate action against terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a criteria which makes Pakistan eligible for aid.

Pakistan and India are damn crazy about nukes these two should send a team to take tour of Chernobyl, the problem is that even Pakistan Nukes India and the second fails to nuke back then monsoon carry alot of things back into Pakistan and sudden raise in Temperature can cause melting of siachen glacier and food+drinking water problem both countries should opt for deal and dialogue, if India is even nuked by china then Pakistan will also share long term consquuences with it's neighbor, the Fact is that in all issues both sides never put there egos outside meeting room they always put them first on talk table and then problem.

The air marshal could have just stated that the Indian defence budget is going to need further upscaling and people can make up any reason for it because it will happen anyway. There is a lot of money to be doled out and we are going to encroach on the budget allocations of other sectors if need be to get our way because for once we have a war warmongering cabinet and parliament.

The problem is that it would require investment of many tens of billions of dollars to make India somewhat prepared for a nuclear war. The kind of money US and Soviet Union invested.

We have not seen GoI willing to spend that kind of money...yet.

In '71, Soviet Union was a force to be reckoned.......today, Russia is still strong but nothing compared to China when you consider financials along with military prowess. In 10-20 years, China will be a super power challenging US and quite possibly in a position to brush aside many other military powers without much concern.

Pakistan, on the other hand, is a wild card.

Russia is still the 2nd in terms of military power after US, and will remain so for next 2 decades at least, and China is not challenging US in terms of military powers in next 10-20 years. I am not sure if Pakistan will go wild or not.

I agree with you. As I said people here in China don't talk about India at all, but after surfing through some Indian media and forums I was surprised to see so much Indian hostility towards us. And we we nuke India? Crazy thoughts. Firstly, our nuke arsenal are last card vs other nuclear powers, India not included (as of now). Secondly, our conventional forces are capable of dealing with our neighbors combined, no nuke needed. Your politician should spend more efforts in building your country, not wasting it in chasing a phantom.

Thanks! In 2008 Olympics, whole Chinese audience stood up for one and only one delegation's entry - Pakistan. We Chinese people will defend Pakistan to the best we can.
