India Sets Up Muslim Registry To Deport 20 Million Illegals

How can an overpopulated country like India can accomodate such a large no of illegal migrant? Better they go back to their own country and live there peacefully.

The BJP's interest in culling the illegals would be the same as their interest in demonetization. Less illegally purchased votes going against them. The demographic that votes for the BJP is already going to vote for the BJP based on their actions to date since coming to power. We have not been disappointed on most of the poll plank promises. Except (for me) the lack of effort or perceived movement on the Uniform Civil Code.

BJP sure is popular. I'm just curious how they will handle illegal Bangladeshi topic next election. As I do not think they will be able to successfully deport many illegal Bangladeshis as they claim.

Out of all the states, Assamese people are most concerned about rise in muslim population. In spite of 35% mulim population, BJP won the election mainly because people expect this govt to be less corrupt and deal with illegal immigrants with iron fists.

Unfortunately the rest of states are enjoying the benefits of lower expenditure by using the services of BD immigrants who are doing menial jobs and living in slums. So in the near future I dont see significant action apart from Assam.

I think the groundwork was set in place before the border accord. Which favoured you in terms of net territory allowed.

Bhai, that link is about Karnataka. Here the thread is about Assam. Two different states of India. Though even then the 283 number is nonsense. There are small towns in Karnataka (on the border with Maharashtra) that are overrun by them.

Further examination like the date of issue of the ID, the history of the person with relevant verification whenever is necessary. It will be a lengthy process if they follow the rules. Dedicated and co-ordinated effort is required for complete identification of the illegals without ID proof and also those who have acquired ID proof in recent times.

Unless locals living around them report them, it will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

A lengthy process. Like Padamchan said, it would be hard to identify them. Also verifying each would cost large sum of money. Lets see what GOI do.

One of the easiest ways would be to go after their employers. When the money dries up, they will either take to crime (which many of them already are into) or will return to more profitable climes.
