India has sent off its first consignment of goods to Afghanistan bypassing Pakistan via the Chabahar port in Iran which in the long run will give India access to Russia and Europe as well.

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — India has formally started using the Chabahar port to transport goods directly to Afghanistan without transporting them through Pakistan. By shipping off the first consignment of wheat to Afghanistan via the Chabahar port, India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has sent a strong message that India does not need Pakistan to provide a passage for its goods to reach Afghanistan. By establishing an alternative and robust trade route, India has also reinforced its commitment to building closer ties with Afghanistan.

The Indian consignment, comprising 1.1 million tons of wheat has already left Gujarat's Kandla port, will reach Iran's Chabahar port and from there it will be taken to Afghanistan by road.

"I believe that this is the starting point of our journey to realize the full spectrum of connectivity — from culture to commerce, from traditions to technology, from investment to IT, from services to strategy and from people to politics," Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said after jointly launching the initiative with Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani through a video link.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also responded to the issue.

India has invested heavily in Iran's Chabahar port which will provide easy access to Central Asian countries bypassing neighboring Pakistan.

Experts are of the opinion that the Chabahar port would open vast commercial links not only to Afghanistan but the entire Central Asian region, hence establishing India as a formidable competitor to Chinese trade interests in the region.

"Launching of a new trade route by India to connect Afghanistan and other oil-rich Central Asian countries has immense geopolitical significance. It will definitely give India a strategic edge in the region and open vast commercial links. In fact, the Chabahar port could be India's reply to Gwadar port which is being developed by China to get access to the Central Asian markets. In the long run, the Chabahar port could also be useful for India to check Chinese influence in the region," Security expert, Qamar Agha told Sputnik.

If they will create problem in CPEC we can easily busted this Chahbar type nana muna port who has no relevence and projection in the region except supporting Indians particular because even Iran has no advantage of this port lol.

Iran has the advantage of India/Af vouching against hard sanctions/other measures by US that can impact Iran.
US will go soft on Iran now.... as it's own interest in AF will to an extent rely on Iran (read suppllies to Af through Iran).

Good, Pakistan going for a war against Iran is exactly what we need.

If it is nana muna port who has no relevance and projection in the region..then why worry

Considering that the USA is going to send supplies through this port in Iran; India has done very well. Watch how the USA will start to slowly stop giving aid to Pakistan. US and India have already got a logistic supply deal lol, so this is good for Iran, India and the USA but not good for some others. US can now send anything they want through this port on Indian ships, have to laugh at this simple but brilliant move by India.

This will help temper down the tensions between Iran and the USA, and soon India will be playing a big role in mediating between the USA and Iran win win for everyone, other than a certain country. The US should have done this from the start, but have to admit the US government are stupid to piss around depending on Pakistan.

This is part of larger game.
1American need transit route to afganistan...its through pakistan.
2Pakistan supports people who america wants out...pakistan does not help them.
3 us wants to choke pakistan and wants them to stop ne support to haquannis n others...but directly cant coz this will starve their troops in afganistan.
4 iran us relatiins bad so direct acess dificult.
5 indian provides routes to america indirectly through chabhar.

Benefits to us
1 alternative route....easy to presurrise pakistan.
2 did not have to directly ask route from iran.
3 try to pull iran out of russia n china block via india.

Benefits to iran
1 trade n money.
2 a developing port.
3 indian involvment indirectly provides security to port n trade through it.

Benefits to india
1 acess to afganistan and central asia.
2 encirclment of pakistan.
3 more influence in afganistan.
4 economic warefare with pakistan...first trade is with wheat...balouchistan n kpk have large flour mills which are depended on afgan trade.
5 india can ask us for help against india centric groups in pakistan.
6 may be some naval assest near chabhar.

Benefits to afganistan
1 alternative trade route.
2 american forces will remain there
3 less dependency on pakistan

Benefits to pakistan
1 trying to figure out.

Loss for pakistan
1 economic n trade loss
2reduced influence on afgan
3 iran is nxt door nehbour with bettwr ties with india
4 americans more free to presurrise
5 loss of route to central asia via afganistan
6 uppeehand to india with iran n us n afgan support

.
Now you guys can trade with AF through IR , both anti-Pak countries both your allies ,,,, Now stop crying about Pak not giving any assess to AF and IN through Pak........ Now stop crying about fencing AF,,,,, Now AF is not a land locked country.

Realisation that route is unviable, treacherous and unfeasible in 5.4.3.2....

Indian fanboy predictions are like their "indigenous" weapons predictions

from a overweight Arjun becoming a desert Ferrari

to Chabahar a small port where iran has given india two berths, with a promise to keep an eye on India suddenly ending American-iranian emnity:lol: sending substandard india goods via road to Afghanistan
sounds a bit like the much vaunted air corridor

only people who could beleive a dude has a elephant head could believe such delusions

So let's make you the policy Maker.... All hail this guy.
Nobody in the ministry has thought about it... Nobody has the dev plans nobody has the backup options....

sending substandard india goods via road to Afghanistan

Lol.... The same sub standard Indian goods are imported and used by Pakistani s via Dubai is a joke right....

.
Chahbar route is three fold more expensive than via Pakistan.... that can never be a viable trade route as the whole point of a trade route is to minimize the trading cost. Pakistan can't be ignored and in all fairness we can't ignore India too... we must make a real effort to get India on-board on CPEC... otherwise it too would not reach it's full potential/

They thought about it sure!!

They also thought about how they would have 600 Arjuns by now and 300 Tejas

This shit dont work out

The nail in the Tejas coffin was the fact that india needed to look for a another foreign single engine fighter, it let everyone know the status of Tejas

RE: Chabahar and the air corridor.
When Ghani tries to arm twist Pakistan into allowing indian trade and Afghan trade, even when Chabahar is up and running, it lets you know what they really think:coffee:

.
Disaster for Pakistan.

US dependency over Pakistan will be reduced to zero
Lose influence to Afghan
China and Arabs may use Chahbar route to go to central asia and europe..loss for CPEC
