India, Saudi Arabia to set up $750 million fund

Great. Pakistanis are already starting to get away from Saudi Arabia. We are replacing them with our neighbour Iran. Our massive deals with them will come.
Replace whom ever u want... But still the Iranian Oil will only flow for Cash Pack wallets ... in this case India & China...

.
it good lesson for Pakistanis at least the dying support will wear out for Saudi and we can now move towards learning to be more political and self interest motivated. feed our own forget the rest.

Good to see some infusion of businesslike meaning to the defining partnership between Saudi Arab and India. It is said that the cooperation by KSA-Ind in terrorism under US pressure but recent overtures and partnerships between KSA-Ind shows that it is also something which decision makers in KSA now see as a strategic partnership in that it will help KSA to ween Ind away from Iran apart from more than $35 billion of oil that India buys from KSA. It is hopeful that in the near future many other gulf nation will invest in the enormous infrastructure opportunities that exists in India and may lead to defining India-Gulf partnerships.

PS: Sultan of Oman is the next Republic day guest and he is a great friend of India. Hope to see some good deals with Oman then.

.
Great effort KSA should invest in building mosques across India.

Sorry Bro. KSA dont have authority over Indian land. In Pakistan its a normal phenomenon where outsiders can come, DO, sit and leave without even asking the Pakistanis. Not Possible here. :)

.
very good KSA, now soon after this they will promote Islam.

Promote Islam in India? It is India from where Islam spread in this sub-continent. You and past of you are from India itself so Islam is already promoted in India. Yes as a matter of fact you can take a leaf out from India that how not to mix religion, politics and international relations with each other.

You can neither read the article clearly nor can keep religion outside any discussion , can you ?

The delegation of the Saudi businesspersons and entrepreneurs showed interests in investing in India's petroleum, petrochemicals, fertilizers, infrastructure, food processing, health care, herbal and medicinal sectors

Friend and Foe mentality is not helping us. Saudis and Iranians are all for their own interests and we should do the same - what benefits us in the long term. The Iranians are suddenly waking up from their deep pro-India slumber and once again exploiting our brotherhood sentiments to propel their own goals - which is evading sanctions.

A sucessfull foreign policy is based on prioritizing national, civilian and regional interest. Our foreign policies are based on 7th century socialist concept, and by extension of this mentality is opposing India. The precise reason we find ourselves in a constant flip flop with Iran vs Saudi Arabia is our unnecessary aspirations to be seen as "OIC champions". Much of the current events which have unfolded in Pakistan for the last 2-3 decades have their roots in the same failed foreign policy and so its the recent string of sectarian strife.

Relations with China are an extended by product of "oppose India at all cost" mentality - which again has its roots in bogus Islamic history of superior Muslim rule over India for 1000 years. As China and India grow to become responsible powers in the region, their tensions will diffuse while economic integration with strengthen making Pakistan an insignificant part of equation. Beijing will still long to maintain some token relations with Islamabad but the direction will change from "countering India" to making sure Pakistani government remain under hedge against activity which mean disrupt Chinese economic activity with India.

Things would be much different today if our FP was not dictated by events in alien lands, there would be no need to continue supporting Taliban in Afghanistan post soviet withdrawal, Pakistan would on good terms with all its neighbors and sectarian violence would be kept at bay. Continuous failure of our unrealistic FP is driving us into chaos, we have lost touch with reality, our population has lost the sense of nationhood and now a big lava of ethnic and sectarian tensions is cooking which may explode into a civil war anytime. The OIC focused FP has turned our internal state of affairs so confusing that we cannot even differentiate between friend and foe anymore. Confusion is evident as several terrorist leaders have been arrested and then freed without conscience. Our second most important neighbor - Afghanistan with 3 Million afghan refugees in Pakistan has written us down as "pariah state" in their books.

The biggest sign of any failed state is their armed institution losing efficiency and turning into showpieces of might - and the process has somewhat already started in Pakistan.

A good step for Pakistan would be to withdraw from OIC, as it gives us a false sense of support and dignity which is not really the case and have a second look on our internal and external policies. Decide what should be the course of nation for next 50 years and who is friend and who is a foe. How should Pakistan play a stronger regional role and integrate itself with its roots in the region rather than remote desserts of Iran and Arabia.

Cry all you want but i will always say this. Iran, our neighbour is historically, culturally and linguistically close to us. They should be our natural allies. From the past few decades we have seen what Saudis have been giving to us ;terrorists, madrassas, easy money, and support to american alliance. Apart from Oil that country has nothing to offer. If Iran is out of sanctions, it can give us natural resources that we wont have import overseas. Just in case you did not notice, they are growing fast in the field of science and technology, and they could offer us more than anyone else. Our interests should always be looking after our own borders first. We don't want to fight for someone else just like we were asked to do in Bahrain and in Mecca/Madina.

to save itself Pakistan must move away from Iran and Arabia and maintain a neutral relation with both limited to trade and business.

Iran is going in opposite direction towards what Saudi Arabia was during Fahd era. It will soon become a launch pad of Al Quaida 2.

No country Invests in other country unless it sees its own profits, Saudi Arabia wants to make india and iran Gap a bit more Wider and On the other hand it has realized that Muslims in India are living like second class citizens with not equal rights, KSA will make sure most of the money goes to Muslims and Their socio-economic uplift and become politically strong to demand separate state!

.
Its strange that most of the pakistanis are talking about pakistan in a thread which is not meant for pakistan, its off topic.

But, what more assuming is that they still in the old myth of religion based propaganda or they depend on Iran's enmity with Saudis or Saudis enmity with Iran.....what about pakistan??
