India sanctions 1,185 outposts along Indo-Bangladesh border

Kiren Rijiju speaking during an interview with Reuters in New Delhi, India, September 29, 2015 Reuters
A protection grid will continuously monitor and evaluate threats along the border

The Indian government has sanctioned as many as 1,185 border outposts (BOPs) along the India-Bangladesh border.

Indian Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said a border protection grid (BPG) had already been set up along the India-Bangladesh and India-Pakistan border, reports Indian daily The Economic Times.

The border protection grid will continuously monitor and evaluate threats along the border.

The BPG will observe and analyze patterns and formulate appropriate response.

It will have five layers – elements before the border fence, physical border infrastructure, border fence, intelligence grid, and police.

Good decision, install automatic gun turret with IR vision on these posts.
But, by buying your cows and smuggling them through a dangerous border, our smugglers are providing with money with which you the poor Indians can buy rice and essentials. White to bite a hand that feeds you?

Aww!! You are triggered. What's the problem with having strong border patrolling?
I have no problem with crores of bharati patrolling their border, but with that type of weapon in the border and drunk BSF in charge, it will kill beyond the border indiscriminately as no human brain will be behind it during the operation. So it will not discriminate harmless villagers who go to near the zero line to work in field or graze the animal, or any cow, goat strolling near the border or any child mistakenly goes near to the barbed wire fence.Any warm blooded living being will be it's target. This type of weapon is not used even in a battle field and this dhoti is suggesting to put this type of weapon in Bangladesh -India border where in many places fence goes straight through the people's dwelling and millions of people live in close proximity with border.

If that was so innocent, we wouldn't be beefing up the security. And BSF has no order to shoot across the border, so, if any such incidents happen, it'll be duly reported and actions will be taken. It's entirely different when people cross the border.

Now smugglers are a who different thing, BSF will shoot anyone who crosses the border illegally. Sadly this issue of smuggling has been rampant and inadvertent crossing sometimes gets fired upon. So, take actions to stop illegal human trafficking or livestock.
There is no issue of placing unmanned weapons on the border. It's simply not going to happen.
