The joint Indo-Russian project to produce a fifth-generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) for the Indian Air Force is facing a two-year delay. It will now take nine years instead of the stipulated seven to develop.

“The fifth-generation aircraft is scheduled to be certified by 2019 [instead of 2017]

India

very bad news :hitwall:

.
India is going to use both version the Indian version is a two seat version, and the T-50 is still in development stage why would they go and develop a second one at the same time while they are working on the first one.

.
dont worry man !!!

we have rafale to take care of enemy fighters till that time

RELAX:D

.
J-20 firefang will go operational in 2018 as per Pentagon.

.
Russian just blackmailing indians
before mmrca
they cash dead carrier
they know that indian have no choice
certificating in 2019 mean production will also take 2-5 years
too late
it was better for indians to choose f-35

Anyone wants to be blackmailed for getting a carrier or nuclear submarine.

rafale can be easily shot down by J20 or PK's version of J20 :fie:

by the way, Rupee depreciation 30% in one year, Please make sure you country has enough money in account, the cheque would bounce? (100 Billions 1 years ago, now 130 billions)

Rafale can be easily shot down by JF-17 and India's economy will be weaker than Pakistan by that time. So time to enjoy. Have a drink and go to the bed. Sweet dreams.

I am pretty sure it will get delayed even further. After all the specs come from a downed F-117A fighter in Serbia in 1999 which the US already retired.

So not only is this fighter based from stolen US technology but that technology is already retired by the USA. And it is being delayed and won't be inducted for another 15-20 years.

I don't think serial production can begin until 2025 and these jets won't be inducted into Indian squadrons until 2030.

By that time, US will already have developed the 6th Generation Fighter.

Don't tell us that u had made a gud bird with zero sense of intregation.......aren'nt you still using parallel systems

Look who is suggesting......which not even prepared a single 5th gen.......design.

Good..........but it was not much capable in front of PAK-FA.

Big mouth Indian's version of Pak-FA t50 still need to be certified by russian until 2019 :hitwall:

Chinese's J20 is flying around in the sky daily in 2011, 2012 ;)

There are the differences between Big Mouth Indixxx & Chinese

PAKFA Flew in Jan 2010. Some people have no idea how much it takes to make a fifth generation from first flight to induction. These guys still do not have their own engine flying and think that they can make their fighter faster than Russia who has way more experience than China.

Anyways, once a fanboy you become blind to fact.

Why is this bad news ? This was simply meant to happen. I say now, that it can take even 10 years or 11 years or 12 years. We are not in desperate need, and the fruits of patience are always sweet. This is more like honest news rather than over optimistic news.

Lol mate they have a hard time understanding that India version in which the only difference is the second pilot, and maybe the ability to add Israeli and other western weapons is gonna change everything. They don't seem to understand that India will buy the single seat version which will come out earlier.

But I guess, what inddianrabbit said is correct, its hard for a fanboy to understand things.

Its okay. If they dont understand they will be ill prepared. Let us understand and move on.
The Indian concept although sounds easy, requires some really essential design changes that can take some time and provide invaluable experience to the Indian aerospace industry.

1. that fart-mouth is a pak-i
2. They need to build a motor car first.

Please dont use defamatory terms or insults. It only widens the gap and leads to destruction in the end. If a fight comes to us we will show our aggression there, but let the fight come by itself.

.
delays and more payment, that's being associated with your partnership with Russia, the aircraft carrier phase II.

I hope you realise that stealth is a Russian invention. They are by no means new to this field.
