India’s Tejas ready for IAF induction in March 2012 - A K Antony

All Hail to our 50 cent Jobless troll enlightner.
Why are you talking to yourself. Is this defect is from birth or you got recently, please consult a good doctor.
Thank you Dumbass Indian.
He edited it Indiot. He probably thought you morons don't deserve that treatment afterall.

so that why every one call LCA as Mig++ etc..
You totally ignore the context in which your Air Chief called it that. He went on to say it is not a Fourth Gen fighter. His context is clear.

lol =)) the keep dreaming :D=)) it was started in 1980s now its 2012 can it match with the newer class aircrafts :D =)) dnt think so =))

.
March has already gone by, is it not or is my calender 3 moths ahead of time

. .
3 months are nothing in comparison with 3 decades.
ALL we need is a replacement for our vintage MIG 21s, every day passes by with out a replacement reduces the operational readyness of our interseptor fleet of air-crafts.
Besides IAF should stop increasing its specification to the level so high that the budget aloted for R&D is shut down at some point of time for not delivarying the clinets(IAF's) need

.
Yar entire software developed in Pakistan using c++ language.
HUD, GAHRS, DTU, RRU, WMMC, APU. HUMS, Inlet intake system
H2, H5 SOW, RAA'D FOR JF17, and lots of things already discussed in jf17 info pool with good information.
Short for you , some are

I can't go more off topic. Stick with LCA

Thank god engine is not :what:

India's Tejas Completes Bombing Trials From Uttarlai

:yahoo:
As part of its campaign for the second phase of initial operational clearance (IOC-2) and final operational clearance (FOC), the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas has just completed a two-day schedule of weapons trials at the desert field firing range in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The trials involved three Tejas platforms (LSPs 2, 3 and 5) taking off from the IAF's Uttarlai station and deploying a series of weapons, including laser-guided 1000-lbs bombs and unguided bombs. The tests were a continuation of weapons deployment trials that took place at Pokhran in September last year. LSPs 2 and 5 were fielded again this year, but LSP4 used last year was replaced with LSP3 for this year's tests.

Over-sea trials are expected to ensue shortly. Remember, the Tejas is yet to testfire a BVR missile -- the Rafael Derby or the Vympel R-77.

LCA's G tolerance is only 6Gs & JF-17 is 8Gs. After FOC it's G tolerance is going to be only 8Gs. The Promised 9Gs is never going to be achieved by incompetent & lying Indian defense establishment, as said by themselves.

Chill out Jim Carrey, you don't need to shag while using your keyboard. If you are so deep in denial
then go burn in a corner.

We need to show them where they really stand. Or else they will have stupid illusions like LCA is a Tie fighter and what not. See the stupid guy comparing it to that Nisha parachute gliding junk.
What do you mean by that? IAF is the 4th largest AF in the world and 7th best voted by topyaps.
So ask yourself where does PAF belong?

Production LCA still has not mated with a Radar. It is still in testing. And for the other figures and MiG-21++, 3rd Gen - Livefist: IAF Grudgingly Accepts Tejas IOC, Wants 83 Mk-IIs

Air Chief Marshal PV Naik later clarified that it was a fourth generation aircraft.
LCA Tejas handed over to Indian Air force, IAF Chief clarifies it is a fourth gen aircraft.(FINN) Frontier India News Network.(defence.pk is not allowing to post the link from Frontier India News Network So you can just google the article "LCA Tejas handed over to Indian Air force, IAF Chief clarifies it is a fourth gen aircraft")

And just so you know Mig-21s performed terrifically in Cope India-05.

Express News Service
Bangalore: Three platforms of India's Light Combat Aircraft Tejas successfully completed advanced armament trials at Pokhran Ranges. Military sources confirm to Express that this time the focus of the trials was locked on to specific modes of releasing various weapons. The current campaign saw Tejas testing various altitude and speed combinations of 'critical nature.'
“During the just-concluded weapon trials at the forward areas of Pokhran Ranges, practice, dumb and live bombs were released. A laser-guided bomb (LGB) was also tested. The trials are important as the platform is now being tested for its conversion as a fighting machine from a successful flying platform,” sources said.
Different trials of sensors included testing of radio-altimeters, baro altitude, radars and laser. “Tejas' limited series production (LSP) variants LSP-2, LSP-3 and LSP-5 are part of the current campaign. All modes of weapon releases and all types of sensors were tested at various points in flight envelope. The campaign team is now heading for sea trials,” sources said. The Tejas variants flew at speeds between 900-1000 KMPH during the weapon trials, logging in total of 25 flights. In September 2011, Tejas had conducted weapon trials in Chandan and Pokhran Ranges, looked into accurate positions and target parameters.
With all the platforms put together, the Tejas programme has to its credit 1903 flights, cloaking 1120 hours, so far. Its makers in Bangalore will have to catch up with the lost time in the programme, especially after its Initial Operational Clearance (IOC-1) held in January 2011. “Currently we are looking into the major segments of IOC-2. We are hopeful of completing the IOC-2 parameters by the last quarter of this year,” sources said.

congrats to India for moving forward with the development of this plane. At least India is not cancelling it like the kavari engine. On the side note, how much is this plane per unit and how is it compare to Rafael. Would it be more economical to get rafael at this point?

Who said kaveri is canceled? It is only decoupled from the Tejas program and will be used for UAV and marine vessles. Also, the future engine developments will gain from the experience of Kaveri program.

Regarding cost of Tejas, its current projected cost is US$30million that will go down depending on the number of planes ordered. Rafale is medium weight, where as Tejas is light weight, there is no comparison. Tejas will fill the lower ranks of IAF.

Tejas once operationalized will be the lightest interceptor in the world. The fact that it has decent enough firepower, a decent engine, it will be a cheap and formidable platform around the heights of himalayas..
