India’s Quiet Counter-China Strategy

I am amazed how ordinary Indians and Chinese have become enemies on the internet!

In person, they get along pretty well. They even have respect for each other's country and civilizations.

What happens on the forums? Is there something to it? Is it all natural?

Or is it just letting out and doing what they can't in real life?

Thanks!

That's also what I wanted to express.

I meant that China's rise ensures that India is not seen as a threat.

Not sure I got that across the first time.

And also the other way around: India's rise ensures that China is not seen as a threat.

Everyboy wants PEACE!

reply to Indian flamers in the same tone.

Don't take that as underestimation though. We of all people, should know the potential power of a large population combined with strong economic growth.

No that is the hardly the attitude to take,

Are you aware of the desertification that is happening in China because of industrial expansion and how dependant China is becoming to foodgrain export or buying or leasing land to grow food? Are you aware of the shortage of foodgrain?

What if one day the countries do not export foodgrains to China or nationalise the land bought or leased in foreign lands?

All the money and progress China has made won't help if people starve!

You know, its a vicious cycle.

Many Indian members that you consider racist would probably have their own experiences (much like gpit's) that would make them behave in the way they do. That feeds more anger and hatreds on the other side and the cycle continues.

Some sane people can help bring it under control. It is difficult but possible.

I guess you're right.

Hatred is never logical. But it is very human.

so wats my status in the eyes of chinese ppl.
although i have chinese friends:D
i dont troll at all:D

You're OK lol, even though you always call me a troll. :D

We're not going to starve. Plenty of countries are food importers and they do fine.

And in fact, desertification is actually decreasing in China, with a net decrease every year. And even then, it mainly applies to the areas surrounding the Gobe desert.

At least you're no longer talking about your ridiculous racial theories of Han Chinese.

It is so true!

This is also what I feel. I still remember what that Swedish said.

This is why I always try to come with some facts to support my arguments, not just “you very year kill 5 million, 6 million” type of things.

BTW, healthy debates are always good.

Buddy, I apologize for any Indians that misbehaved with you on internet.

And no, I don't need anything. I love your country and I love your people and civilization.

Thanks for your concern, buddy, I was actually treated relatively well, thanks for their leniency. But I felt bad for the other forumers, the Taiwanese, the Swedish…

BTW, one of my Indian friends just comes back from his 6 week pilgrim. I’m eager to hear his story...

Which, ironically, is the reason that I'm not a fan of the Indian members in this forum. With a few exceptions, yourself being one of them.

CD,

Must I teach the Chinese how to use words?

Could you not have said the same thing politely, something like

It would have been wonderful if could be you too! instead of - With a few exceptions, yourself being one of them.

I already answered that above.

At most, it may cause an increase in food prices if the government is unable to stop the unsuitable farming practices that are causing it in the first place.

Let's not get into an argument regarding "starvation" because both sides have a lot of flames for this issue. The fact is that India is doing far worse than us in this regard.

I am not comparing India.

India is not doing well in many fields and I don't shy away from admitting it.

I am not a votary for nuclear power because Chernobyl and what is happening in Japan does not give me confidence. Human lives are more important to me.

However, desertification is not visiting India as yet.

What have you written about desertification? I seem to have missed it.

You can continue to patronize us like this.

As long as you're no longer whining about your silly racial theories of Han Chinese, I can't really complain.

I am not patronising.

Let me give you an example of the beautiful phrases the Chinese use instead of the crude stuff most use.

I learnt of its beauty not from a Chinese, but an American = Pearl S Buck and her book Good Earth!

Instead of using crude words like Pregnant, the Chinese use - she is filled with Happiness Inside.

Is that not beautiful and so apt, Are we not all happy if someone little is coming into our lives!

As far as racist theories, I will humbly mention, I did not invent them. The Chinese did. Why be afraid or shy of the truth?

I think China uses its farmland more efficiently than India.

It has less farmland and produces much more than India.

We have an opportunity to significantly increase our production (especially in Eastern states) and produce a surplus for the world. in addition to our own people.

The government needs to take this on war footing. The current one seems incapable of doing that.
