ISLAMABAD, March 15: Pakistan Foreign Office on Wednesday rebutted a statement made by the Spokesperson of Indian Ministry of External Affairs claiming that Gilgit-Baltistan “is an integral part of India”.

Rejecting the Indian claim the Foreign Office Spokesperson pointed to several resolutions of the UN Security Council and the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan, regarding the State of Jammu and Kashmir being a disputed territory. She underscored that its final status is yet to be determined.

The UN Security Council since 1948 has adopted 18 resolutions on the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The first was Resolution No. 38 passed on Jan 17, 1948 and the last one was Resolution No. 307 adopted in 1971. The UN Commission for India and Pakistan also adopted two resolutions.

What's the problem with indian Govt .First they claimed aszad kashmir and now Gilgit-Baltistan . I call it Desperation of indian Govt , over lastest developments in pakistan (Gawdar/Gas pipe line) .

Indian govt says pakistan will need to have our approval for dam developments in Gilgit-Baltistan .:astagh: What's going on :undecided:

Good to hear that Pakistani Government sees Gilgit-Baltistan as disputed territory and not part of Northern Areas.

this hasbeen our official stance since 1948.

Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir were both part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir pre-1947 which was ruled by the Maharaja. The Maharaja (who was the legal owner and caretaker of the state) signed the accession documents for all of J&K to India, and therefore Gil Baltistan and Azad Kashmir all belong to India legally.

Sadly Pakistan does not believe in such things like legal systems, as can be clearly seen from the internal chaos and lawlessness that Pak is in today. As a result, lands that legally belong to us are illegally being occupied by Pak.

Azad kashmir/Gilgit is our " ATTOT-ANG"

Well we have already taken revenge for Bangladesh

Kashmir
*By area wise it is more than half of the bangladesh(about 83k squarekm)
*Still having very less population
*Much more strategic
*attached with the rest of pakistan unlike bangladesh thousand miles away

Today, Pakistan is controlled by pro Indians. They are willing to accept what ever you wish.
Google already show it disputed territory.... and Pakistan's handpicked foreign office has accepted it.

Well you took Kashmir in 48 and lost Bangladesh in 71, so how is that a revenge :woot:

Dude seriously how much claustrophobia are you suffering from. People in Gilgit Baltistan are voting for their elected representatives same goes for ***. Unlike Indian occupied Kashmir we don't have 300000 military personal stationed in either gilgit baltistan or Azad Kashmir. Secondly how the hell is this all related to Pakistan internal chaos. You people have no interest in Azad kashmir but rather just want to keep the issue alive just to fuel your internal politics.
