What is 'this' now?
Most likely a mix of false reporting and Russian hope. False reporting, since the report might be mixed up with recent offers to Indonesian Air Force and Su35s including ToT. Russian hope, because they might propose early Pak Fa's instead of MMRCAs, since that is more beneficial to them, as it increases the production order for the Russian production line and could reduce the unit cost.
The Russians know that the Su35 has is a no go for India, since it doesn't offer anything that India couldn't simply add to the MKI, nor does it offer the same advantages as a stealth fighter.
With a slow down in Russian economy, Russia now desperate to feast on the delays with the french and quite rightly so for the stalled mistral deal. But the french too know that india won't go for su35 so hard luck
Well the Russians are desperate to sell fighters at all, since neither the Mig 29 /35 is selling anymore, nor were they able to find a single export customer for their Su 35 so far. But the simple fact is, that the upgraded MKI will again be very close to the Su 35 itself, with upgraded BARS, new avionics and EW, as well as the RCS reduction features. That simply makes the Su 35 pointless for India. So if at all, they give us a good deal for Pak Fa's as a short term deal, but even that is not a counter to MMRCA.
Dassault can only kill the Rafale deal on their own and that's what they did for the last few years, but hopefully things improved to an extend where we finally get fix the deal. It's high time for MMRCAs!
Sounds like the Rafale Deal is dead
One Question..........Will IAF upgrade the engines of Su30MKIs.....?........I mean currently SU30MKI is having AL31FP while Su35 is having an upgraded verion AL41F1S....I mean to say what about the engines as earlier IAF was having a tough time with these engines.............Well the Russians are desperate to sell fighters at all, since the neither the Mig 29 /35 is selling anymore, nor were they able to find a single export customer for their Su 35 so far. I'm quite positive that an agreement will be reached before Modi's visit to France. And a reason why these kind of articles are coming these days frequently to divert attention and focus.
Hopefully, it took far too long, but we still wait for a proper confirmation from Dassault about taking responsibility.I'm quite positive that an agreement will be reached before Modi's visit to France.
One Question..........Will IAF upgrade the engines of Su30MKIs.....?
Also which model of radar IAF is selecting, Zhuk AE FGA 29 or Zhuk AE FGA 35.....?.......
Ok Thanks Sir.....But IRIBIS E is PESA radar but wikipedia shows that IAF will replace it with an AESA radar and possibly Phazotron Zhuk AE........Hopefully, it took far too long, but we still wait for a proper confirmation from Dassault about taking responsibility.
It's seems that they replace the Al 31 once with new once only during the overhaul and for commonality reasons they will keep doing that with the additional 42 as well. If the AL 31 itself gets more thrusts or changes is a different issue, but I don't expect anything in that direction with this upgrade.
For the MKI? None of them, it most likely will be an upgrade of the BARS PESA to a similar level as in the Su30SM or possibly close to IRBIS-E. No AESA was selected so far and the NIIP says that it's better to upgrade BARS now and replace it with a varient of the FGFA AESA later.

Ok Thanks Sir......IAF prefered an AESA upgrade initially and the Russian companies Phazotron and NIIP proposed Zhuk AE and an AESA version of BARS initially, but as said nothing was fixed and now with the FGFA AESA available around 2020, it would make more sense to just go for a minor upgrade now and and take a more capable AESA with more commonality to FGFA later.
