PERNEM: A Russian tourist, who was seriously injured in a clash with locals, tried to escape by running towards the sea at Arambol, before he was saved by lifeguards and BSP guards.

PERNEM: A Russian tourist, who was seriously injured in a clash with locals, tried to escape by running towards the sea at Arambol, before he was saved by lifeguards and BSP guards.
According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday night when a lifeguard noticed some disturbances at Arambol Beach and alerted the BSP in-charge, who in turn asked the BSP guards to check the situation.
They noticed a foreigner in his early thirties who had already entered 25 metres into the sea. Police were summoned to the site and lifeguards proceeded towards the sea and brought the foreigner ashore.The Russian tourist was in a state of panic with head injury and was bleeding continuously. Even after being rescued, he again ran towards the sea. In the meantime, police arrived at the spot while the victim was again brought to the shore. Police secured him inside the patrol jeep and he was later handed over to the ambulance staff.
