perhaps you should refer to the joint statement made after Sri vajpayee visited China .....I believe that the official statement was that India's position on tibet and china's position on sikkim has remained basically the same(although there seemed to be a lot of media bonhomie about india recognizing tibet as part of china and china reciprocating on sikkim)....as it is the chinese government seems to be unnecessarily testing India's patience and that is quite likely to fluctuate with every passing government.....assuming a foreign affairs hardliner party comes to power you would be well advised to watch out for some strong reactions....till then let me not interrupt your wishful thinking.....
