A great match. This match has shown the true beauty of test cricket. The the number one ranking team coming in after facing absolute decimation, their sorrows deepening with a debutant's centry, their comeback in a single session, the batting prowess of some of the best cricketers in the world, the resolute defence of one man to guide his team to the top, and ultimately, the nail-biting finish.

And some people say test cricket is boring

We could have finished the match yesterday or today early morning if precious time was not wasted on day 4 (yesterday) due to rain and bad light.

None the less SA defeated us by an innings in 1st test and now we have returned the favor.

We have proven that we are the number one team. After the kind of drubbing we received in Nagpur, it takes a lot of courage and determination to come back and crush the opposition. It shows the attitude and mindset of a team who believe they are number one.

But credit to SA as well. They have proven that they are not one inch behind us in determination and grit. Aside from obliterating India in Nagpur, they almost drew the series and took the number one spot.

My sincere thanks to India and SA for a wonderful tour. I'm sure ICC, and every test fan out there, would be very happy as well.
