India Rejects BMP-3 Offer, Will Maintain FICV Program

Ahh..now I remember:) I seriously think they should go or these than the DRDO one.

That will be the logical choice . Such a move will help improve the role of private players in defence as well as our military industry as a whole .

Nobody can honestly go for the DRDO proposals, they are pathetic compared to anything that is counted to modern IFV design. The simple difference of TATAs proposal, to anything DRDO has shown in this area shows the foreign design base and what advantages it brings to not depend on indigenous R&D only.
Sadly one of the most advanced proposals seems to not have a chance anymore, since the JV of Mahindra and Rafale was cancelled and their team up with BAE ended too. That actually leaves only the Tata Rheinmetal offer with a good scope, although I still couldn't find concepts of L&T so far, which might have teamed up with Italian partners, based on proven VBM Freccia. Sadly nobody seems to be teamed up for the Finish Patria AMV, or the Korean K21 if they fullfil the weight limitations, although I don't get why IA is planning for 40+ to 60+t MBTs, but limits the IFVs to 22t only, like some reports suggested.

The word Isn't "futuristic" it's "future" as this is the IA's FUTURE ICV.

If I am not wrong this is DRDO's proposed machine. I want to know the requirements put forward by Army.
