But from purely strategic PoV, remember such objections blocked a previous FMA deal for F16's. You would be surprised to know it wasn't the foreign office but the expats that blocked the deal, a massive number of Indian student organizations members and their alumni flooded their senator's offices with letters and emails to ensure US taxpayers were not subsidizing Pakistan's Military assets through payments towards CSF.

All this "lobbying" by Indians & Pakistani Americans is a waste. policy is set irrespective of that lobbying

Pakistan won't get much if India does Uncle Sam's bidding. it is that simple.
