india should scrap iwt, give kashmir valley and all jk muslims to Pak and keep al of chenabs water that flows thru jammu. water to india will increase , water to pak will decrease 20%. but they have kashmir.

Plus deserts are not necessarily a bad thing...
If Tibet wasn't Barren,dry and wild,there would have been no monsoon and no rain in whole of south Asia...
Cultivate Tibet and plant trees there and Monsoons will go weak,and may die altogether..
So barren deserts have their place in nature..

well cultivation has been going on in thar desert and arid gujarat region for a decade thanks to israeli technology.Rajasthan and gujarat has already changed the way agriculture is done in in arid regions in india.i'll call it as 2nd green revolution of india.Are you so sure that monsoon will cross himalayas?Monsoon doesnt cross himalayas it turns back and during winter it pours over south india this phenomenon is known as retreating monsoon.

When dealing with water however is a different story. The Indus is Pakistan's only life line. You threaten that, then you threaten the lives of 180 million peoples. And worse case scenario for that is nuclear war on both sides.

80% of Indus waters are allotted to Pakistan and this got to be the most lopsided and stupidly negotiated water treaty in the world.

With vast tracts of India reeling under drought it is high time this lopsided treaty is abrogated and a more fair treaty put into place.

ICA told to stop only permanent structures till the verdict comes which is normal in any legal case.The order doesnt concern the legality of India's actions and there is an equal chance India emerging winner in the case. BTW the canal works are in full swing as we speak .

Do you even bother to read things? Any further construction has to stop when the matter becomes sub-judice. That order is obvious and given regardless of the outcome.

The issue here is not of a dam.. Its Pakistan asking for some infomration about the rivers that are 100% allocated to India and India refusing to share that info.. Plain and simple..

For those reasons..India is rightly called the water terrorist...
