Turkic only by language. Uzbek Khan was head of Golden horde of Mongols. Racially Uzbeks are Turko-Mongols so were Timurids/Mughals or barlas. Hazaras on the other hand , are Persio-mongols with no established lines from heirs of genghis khan and with no established history. Point is, Uzbeks also have strong mongol features and no one in Afghanistan looks down upon them.

Nope, the largest recruitment comes from Pashtuns of Baluchistan but yea Hazaras are recruiting in the army in large numbers since British times. It were British who settled them in Quetta in 1890s, but keep in mind a big potion of them arrived in Quetta in 1980s with other Afghan refugees. Qazi Muhammad Isa was hazara from mother side and Pashtun from father side. General Musa khan was a Hazara.

I heard that they were the Once who worked as Labours during British establishing Railway Infrastructure in Baluchistan. They came to Baluchistan after facing lot of Prosecution from Afghan Kingdom in fact that prosecution continued to the point that Genral Musa Khan even refused to met Zahir Shah during his Pakistan Visit in protest for prosecution of his Afghan Brethren in Afghanistan.

That was Exactly my point when I said Hazaras have History of Prosecution in Afghanistan for so long. This Religious Element has just came to the Equation quite Recently but before that their were other reasons during every single Forces that Rule Afghanistan.

What do you mean by "so long"?, that was single incident. Note that Amir Abdul Rehman punished hazaras for supporting his cousin, claimant of throne........hazara's rebellion was not motivated by shia sentiments but was power politics. Punishment of Hazaras was nothing compared to punishment of ghilzais.........ghilzais , after failed rebellion, were dispersed in northern Afghanistan among uzbeks and tajiks. Hazaras on the other hand were not displaced from their ancestral lands, they retained it.

So that Marginalization was THREAT to Indian Security by any reason????When Soviets Attack Afghanistan 1/4 of Afghan Population became Refugees someof them returned and other stayed and significant numbers even Accepted Pakistani Nationality as well so same thing would have Happened in India as well and those Tamils would have return Back when Sri Lanka Changed their Position over Pogrom against them.


That is Undeniable that India helped Sri Lanka against LTTE but Pakistan and China Helped them better as they TRAINED Sri Lankan Army provided them with Weapons and Support and then these same Sri Lankan Army took care of Business while India Send their Troops and tried Permanent Settlement there instead of actually Helping Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is still buying some weapons from Pakistan while buying most of their Weapons from China. Pakistan is not Directly involved with Sri Lanka because this would become Proxy War but Chinese are indeed very much Directly involved there in Sri Lanka and Pakistan is helping Chinese.

the Afghan taleban were the govt. of Afghanistan at one point, in case you forgot. Following the knee-jerk invasion of Afghanistan they claimed to represent many Pashtuns who were marginalized under the puppet rule of the northern alliance -who have since that time lost power and are now a meaningless lot.

a small number of PAF pilots took part in the bombing campaign....but Sri Lanka had made the request. Yes the Sri Lankans purchased sizable number of arms from Pakistan, especially in 2008/09.

the Chinese still wield considerable leverage.....with the removal of the previous leader it was a setback in the military sense. What worries india is China's inroads into Sri Lanka vis a vis its navy presence. Chinese should just make an offer Colombo would be hard-pressed to refuse. They're already doing the same in other regions. It's in our interests to see increased China footprint in the sub-continent. Not because developing countries should be colonized, but so that certain neighbours are not in a position to bully and act like they own the place. Kept in good check.

india ran to the US and UN to get Sri Lanka black-listed for human rights violations.....it's quite curious that the US fell for the ploy, at the expense of their own declining influence in the region.

the LTTE still exists but it largely dead now thanks to Sri Lanka, China and Pakistan joining hands.
