India reaches one billion smartphone subscriptions!!

I had 3 phones in India, One Micromax, One HTC Touch (windows 6.1) and one HTC One M7. Here, I have only one, LG V10.

After the invention of camera, first thing people did was make p0rn. Look it up lol.

In India, ban anything you want, no one cares, ban p0rn and all hell breaks lose!

I haven't changed my phone in almost 6 years now .

My first phone was BLUE ( In 11th class )
My 2nd phone was Nokia 3110c ( In 12th class )
My 3rd phone was/is Nokia 5233 ( In 1st year of college )

I am curious. Why would anyone want multiple smartphone subscriptions? If one only has one subscription, then the subscription count would exceed the number of literate Indians. Something doesn't seem to add up.

Indians use dual Sim smartphones a lot. Often data connection is from one operator while calls are from another to leverage deals/ offers from both.
