What is innovation efficiency? You either innovate or not...

Don't think poverty directly affects innovation. Pakistan is apparently "less poor" than India, yet is ranked 133(9th from the bottom). As the poverty decreases, R&D spending will increase and so will innovation. If anything it depicts the potential India has, imagine the volume of innovation when India joins the Upper Medium and Higher Income group.

Lol, yes Indians are very innovative when it comes to cheating in business and scamming people. 1.2 billion people and hardly any innovation comes out from that wasteland. Only under Muslim Mughal rule did that land last prosper.
