India ranks 142nd on global press freedom index 2020

How about volunteering yourself for an interview with PDF as a doctor battling COVID19 in India?
I am volunteering only to let everyone know the hard truth instead of googling random news or speculation and discussing wishful thoughts. And yes, I think my opinion is more credible in this topic than many around who are speculationg about the doom of India's health system.

So how good is India coping up? Has the lockdown worked?

Obviously, the lockdown worked . Around 400 districts are free of COVID i.e. either no case at all or no new case within last 28 days, which would be impossible without it. The number of new cases doubles in 10 days, which used to be in 3-4 days 2 weeks ago. But there is still more challengeswe have to overcome, and they are really tough.

I know about their decision of complete lockdown. They are trying desperately to break the the chain of transmission. But the model of Kerala is being highly praised in our community. They performed overwhelming testing as per their capacity, identified clusters, put the clusters under strict containment and rather gave some relaxations to the population outside the clusters, even arranged for community kichen to feed around 2million poor population, and you can see the result. The most challenging part is now the scarcity of testing kit, obstacles in starting rapid test among the population en mass to identify asymptomatic carrier and the detoriating condition of daily wage earners.

There is a stark communal difference between Kerala and other states of India.

Kerala infact is the most economic viable state of the country.

What other models have been under consideration taking in account the scale of micro management involved in the task?

The West says China does not have "freedom" but Hong Kong people can still go online and curse the CCP every day. India has "democracy and freedom", kashmir is cut off the internet

Really well put.

Please do not go by the communal identity. Kerala has the highest literacy rate. There are many states with same or larger non-hindu population than Kerala, but are far behind than Kerala in many indices. And the state govt of Kerala is run by the leftists.
Anyways, there is another model of Bhilwara district of Rajsthan. There stict lockdown was enforced with door to door visit of health personnel and clinical screening. All the essential commodities are being supplied at doorsteps by the authorities. As a result, new infection rate drastically came down. But it has to be complimented with mass screening test to identify asymptomatic cases.

how long you think India needs to restart her economy?

This is the important question. Look, with every passing day of lockdown, small scale industries are getting fatally wounded. Though the govt has permitted to open small factories and shops with lesser amount of employees, but the workers cannot reach their working place as no public transport is available. The govt dole will not last long. But there is a high chance of sharp rise in infection rate and death rate. India, if goes into a scenario like Europe, its 'not so strong' health system will readily get overwhelmed and the whole country will run into a panic and chaos.
That's why we are talking about test, test and test. By applying screening method with the rapid testing kit, we can identify infected and uninfected areas and allow the uninfected areas to start stepping towards normality, so that the economy of the country can start breathing. It should be done within next 2-3 weeks.

Its funny how a country which fares worse in an Index tries to make fun of a country that does better ( even though marginally ) instead of trying to improve themselves. Its the attitude of, if I cant improve I will try my best to pull everyone else down. I guess Godi Media is still better than Fauj Media.
That's Pakistan for you. They have lost all hope for their nation , now they root for India.

WHO has warned against Immunity Passports.

What is your medical opinion on this and the government urge to restart the economy?

Any recommendations on covid19 measures and economics solely based on transfer of goods and people?
