You still didn't answer my question, in fact it's not even a question. It's a simple self-evident fact that let alone Indians, even the Malaysians would not put their lives in the line of fire going by the word of an utterly incompetent police which cannot keep even the head of a UN delcared terror organisation from giving hate speech in front of the country's parliament!

Even the Malaysians are not willing to believe the hollow assurances of such a police, my dear, why blame the Indians?

I agree with you Lahore has not witnessed attacks in the last few years but the record of the judical system in Pakistan leaves leave a lot to be desired for and are things really safe? there is groups like difa e pakistan who would love to attack Indians.

Because Pakistan is being portrayed poorly in the international media, politics has entered into sport. A similar situation exists in Iran, do you see any international tournaments being held there, even though it is safer from a security POV than India?

IN BROAD DAY LIGHT SRI LANKAN CRICKET TEAM WERE SPRAYED WITH BULLETS IN DOWNTOWN LAHORE. NEVER EVER HAVE SUCH A SHAMEFUL/SORRY/TERROR INCIDENT HAPPENED IN NEW DELHI. True there have been blasts but never was a sports contingent attacked. And when we say security is adequate then we mean it... which is not the case with your relatively(sic) peaceful lahore.

So, the issue is not about stats like relative no of people died or no of blasts in last n no of days but lackadaisical nature of lahore police. WHEN THEY SAY SECURITY IS ADEQUATE THEN IT MAY OR MAY NOT BE......

EDIT : Its better to be safe than sorry. Sportsmen are not soldiers or warriors. Why should they even try to prove that they are brave in first place ? Although unfortunate, but a sensible decision.

That was in 2009, it's been 3 years since, & Lahore has been more peaceful than New Delhi & Mumbai in the last 2 years.

It is unfortunate that politics has crept up into sport. It is not about India.

I am a big fan of WSH tournament that was happening in India and then many good pakistan players partcipated in that tournament....But unfortunately Pakistan hockey federation denied participation of its star players to this event with some reason...I would love to see the pak players joining WSH and increased the popularity of that event.
