India proposes to Pakistan and Iran for coordinated response to contain desert locusts

Normally regional cooperation is good...it should be above politics and what not...
...however it was India that started it's small minded tactics and pettiness to spite Pakistan. Namely making SAARC defunct and dragging cricket and other sports through the dirt of politics. What goes around comes around...most Pakistanis now feel that this pettiness should be returned in kind.

Im sure its not that black and white. When it comes to india and pakistan relationships, pettiness is a two-way street.

Not saying that pakistan should forget everything and start cooperating on everything, but a common threath like this where cooperation benefits both sides is a good start.

Whats wrong with regional cooperation? If lotus is a problem for all working together is probably a good idea.
India is simply not an honest broker or negotiator. You want to discuss locusts but never bother to discuss river projects. Cooperate and coordinate on river projects that impact Pakistani civilians downstream before whining on locusts please. Instead of sabre rattling and making unilateral decisions that impact Pakistan on humanitarian issues, demonstrate your genuine desire to be an honest partner in the region. Predictably, indian media giggles childishly over Pakistan protesting on confrontational river projects.

Discussing the "core issue' of kashmir.

Shouldn't that be No 1, 2,3 till 10 ?

I understand that both countries have reasons not to trust each other. But if pakistan can import medicines and raw material from india amid the pandemic, cooperating over this is not a big issue either.

I agree that india has been childish in many ways when it comes to its dealings with pakistan.

A state of undeclared war exists between our nations over Kashmir. The point being made is that Modi and others see fit to routinely curse and punish all Pakistani civilians, Pakistani business/sports/commerce/arts, the nation of Pakistan itself and the very idea of Pakistan because of legitimate armed resistance by Kashmiris against an armed enemy in occupied Kashmir. India could behave in a gentlemanly manner and keep war as war but the rest of indo-pak relations separate, however, India has gladly chosen a path of total war and relentless "surgeeekal shtriksh" in all spheres.

To this maniacal regime, our response is: good, bring it. Don't back down now.

Even in war we can take steps that will benefit BOTH our nations. Like collaborating in WHO or WTO or this.
