India preparing the 4th Mi-25 gunship for delivery to Afghanistan

.
No, Congress was quite passive, because US was against India arming Afghanistan at that time. But with US itself prodding India to arm Afghanistan now, there is nothing that can stop India from arming Afghanistan

Moreover, it makes strategic sense for India to keep Pakistan's western borders on boil as it will take Pakistan off from its eastern borders.
First of all breitbart is a trash site, don't use it as a source.

Next, the US is only asking India, because they can't ask Russia any longer. With US sanctions on Russia, India is the only real source they can ask, because they sure as hell aren't going to ask China.

EVEN THEN, India has not provided the weapons that Afghanistan has been asking for the last few decades. Ironically, Pakistan has offered to GIVE FOR FREE, the weapons that Afghanistan wants, but the Afghans are far too stubborn to budge from their anti-Pakistani stance.

.
Modi strategy seem to be to arm Afghanistan to teeth, so as to keep Pakistan engaged on western front. I expect more military supplies to Afghanistan after the recent Kashmir flareup.

For that either US should pay us or we should get exclusive mining rights in Afghanistan with rights to land our troops and control the area of the mines.

There are lot of other credible sites that quoted U.S. Gen. John Nicholson, the top commander in Afghanistan. I am surprised that you believe Modi/Doval wouldn't open other fronts with Pakistan. Anyway, after the recent unrest in Kashmir, Modi/Doval are going to intensify their encircling of Pakistan. Afghanistan is just one front. Their bigger plan is to make cost of enmity of Pakistan with India unsustainable, and this plan will combine geoeconomics, military and geopolitical strategies to squeeze Pakistan.

Until I see a proper demonstration, I don't have much faith that Iranian authorities are being completely honest. We all know what happened with the Qaher 313.

Not really, Modi seems to be quite passive in Afghanistan, and much like predecessors, he seems to be shying away from outright arming Afghanistan with heavy weapons.

The ones Pakistan ordered weren't for PAF, they were for the anti-narcotics force. The ANF requirements aren't that big, thus the small number.

Also, 4 choppers isn't going to make much change. Remember, these 4 choppers basically have to cover multiple fronts, which is an unreasonable expectation.

four choppers will cover maybe one sector. the real issue is whether the Afghan air force can use it effectively
it took a while for the Sri Lankan air force to use them effectively against LTTE forces

I do not know Pakistan can withstand combined American-Indian pressure

They are extensively using it with great success as per them as well as their American advisers.

So you would keep Pakistan engaged on "Western front" with 4 MI 25 and a few guns??

This modi-doval duo is just harming one country and that is India. Even some sane Indians have started to question myth of Doval being a South Asian James Bond.

Doval is no James Bond. Modi is no Superman. You can be fan of both of them but still it is never too late to accept a few facts and one fact is that this duo is more fail than success.

Except that you dont, the rate you supply weapons you wouldn't arm a boy scout troupe

Indian supply is piecemeal at best

India, and indeed Modi, overestimate Indian influence, as do you. Pakistan is no more surrounded than it was a few decades ago, and nor will it be surrounded in the coming decades.

If anything, Pakistan is better off now than it has been in a long time.

That and maintenance issues.

American pressure in Pakistan is over rated. The US has, in the past few years, undone a lot of its influence in Pakistan. China has benefited extremely from it, and Pakistan has found it much easier telling the US "no". As for India, nothing has changed and nothing will change in the foreseeable future.

India never said anything on Baluchistan before too in last 70 years. Modi seem to change government of India's policy on India - Pakistan issues. He is aggressive. And arming Afghanistan is small part his overall strategy of making the cost of enmity with India very costly for Pakistan.

His mention of balochistan was a blunder and is a positive development for Pakistan. His "aggressiveness" is going to cost in the end. Something that would backfire and hurt India only.

His overall strategy is going to a dead end and situation in IOK is a proof of it.

Always smaller power have to bear most of the costs when you fight a bigger rival. He succeeded in bring down the pressure of Kashmir by equating with Balochistan. Kashmir is calmer now that is was in last 40 days.

.
Can they like fly it over pakistan for delivery as it is the shortest route, got this new system we need to test, two birds one stone sort of thing.
