How prepared is Indian army?

US fights wars for practice. Russia fights wars for practice. Pakistan has fought war on TTP for practice (not by choice).

PA was useless at fighting militants back in 2005, it was like a headless chicken, like a cat caught in the headlights but now it can swiftly take out the most embedded militants in remote forested valleys. The soldiers in these operations are now generals and will lead battles going forward.

Its all good on paper but IA will lose in skirmishes. Its like sending a cricket player out to bat without any match practice. You will get out 1st ball.

Lets also consider army morale, IA has high suicide rates and low morale after being repeatedly rejected by Kashmiris. Killing children is no morale booster.

PA will carve through IA in battles. Put down your times of India tabloid nonsense and come into reality.

Nawaz isnt the only one when it comes to strategic planning as i assume neither is Modi. When it comes to planning it will be done in consultation with the army, the ISI, and all other agencies involved. No a simple man vs man thing

Nawaz isnt the only one when it comes to strategic planning as i assume neither is Modi. When it comes to planning it will be done in consultation with the army, the ISI, and all other agencies involved. No a simple man vs man thing

The first thing what came to your mind while describing Strategic planning is army isi etc, As per me strategic planning is also about growth, foreign policy making, partnership and if all this is not viable And the only thing left over is combat then comes armed forces ....

A great leader would be the one who balances all aspects equally .... And yes in here PM is the one who has the final authority ....

This is where CPEC comes in. Dont assume that we are unaware of the importance of the economy and growth which will fuel any war if it begins. As for partnership i think the recent example with Pakistan and Russia should be an eye opener for those who believe Pakistan is isolated or does not have partnerships. Again CPEC and China backing Pakistan on numerous issues including NSG is a prime example.
I however say this from our perspective that a lot still needs to be done. We are late to the game but at least we have started to play.
