In December 31year 2013 local time New Delhi, BJP's activists assaulted the Congress Party vice chairman Rahul Gandhi's home. The police crackdowned on protests with high-pressure water gun. The protestors demanded Rahul Gandhi explains for Himachal governor Virbhadra Singh's allegations of corruption and take immediate action.

How on earth a single party can rule India since 1947 almost uninterrupted and this is somehow called a democracy? What kind of a stupid joke is this?

A country ruled by a single party in the last half centuary can't be labelled as Democracy.

It's called typical India 'Democracy'.

i want Indian members comment in this thread, Don't bury your head in Sand.

If it the center then I agree with you but if you look at states then they have multiple parties and it is a vibrant democracy at local level.

Now two major parties Congress and BJP will vie for elections and the rest of the country will boot congress out of power.

You can know this by recent state elections in which BJP won 3 states out of 4 while in 4th state, though it couldn't cross halfway mark it was still single largest party while Congress was lowest party.

Some of us do, many don't. Hate is a useless emotion anyway.

That's the problem Modi need to worry about, especially those voter from villiage. Why the voting rate is so low in the Middle class when you wanna put Modi in place?

Because the Middle class is pretty much insulated from politics. They have secure jobs and a steady income which makes them complacent.

Its only when their lively hood gets threatened they wake up and vote for a change. That is how democracy works in any part of the world.

The poor live on HOPE....and what greater hope than a political party that promises them a better life ?

Keeping them poor and uneducated. That is the best trick to keep them from voting for congress again and again. The moment they become Middle class they will vote for BJP. Funny but true.

When i google the 1992 riot, i can see the Congress very well contol the situation from deteriorating. I think that's why most Pakistani members are anti-BJP.

I dispute that, then congress would have won in chattisgarh. AAP is the hope but socialism and subsidy is a poisonous cocktail for our economy. BJP is coming to power but now that people are better educated and more mature, communalism in any form will not prevail. Show in Muzzafarnagar where riot fizzed out in less than a week with few casualties on average.

His main focus would be governance. He will push for friendly ties with all neighbors. Untill and unless provoked. Infact many a times he said, we need to learn from the chinese.
