Gentlemen----the flow in the rivers has gone down and again it is the right season for war in the sub-continent.

Indian military is planning major war games in Rajasthan in the months of October and November. to check its quick deployment force.

A reason for big concern for Pakistan----. It reminds me of Egypt doing multiple excercises before the 1973 Ramzan war.

Some in Pakistan are not taking it seriously---but it is a cause of major concern.

war games is done basically to create operational readiness & to convey to it's citizens that they are ready for any eventualities

one may see reciprocal wargames from pakistani side too after that exercise from india

@MastanKhan You are being overly alarmist. Even the most seasoned hawks would risk a war under nuclear umbrella.
What would be more interesting is the deployment time and the strategy.

I think you are taking up cold start doctrine as a yardstick and thinking the Indian IBG might strike. The truth is the indian IBG seriously lacks the power to actually strike. We are really short in attack helicopters and the troops are too far stretched. Even if India attacks in the Punjab-Rajasthan sector it will be wide open in the southern sectors. The troop forces right now can only defend with capability and does not have the capability to go offensive. The leave and all are in place. This is going to be one of the major evaluation exercises that is taking place every year.

Any offensive plans will be laid out only if Pakistan chooses this time to attack with impunity and cause a large scale panic that is caused like 26/11. It is not the Indian armed forces that you must be afraid of, it is those hawkish people on both sides of the border who would love to escalate the tensions and make money from it...as they say self interest is ones best interest.
