India, Pakistan tone down Wagah border show

This didnot help ... 95,000 of these MUCH BIGGER and MORE INTIMIDATING :-)lol::lol: ) surrendered ....

That was a decision to save our soldiers from a needless fight because we had lost the support of East Pakistan(Bangladesh).

Do you remember 1948(We gained Azad Kashmir) and 1965(Our Air Force completely dominated your military)?
:yahoo:

what was the enemy territorial occupation status when the 1965 ceasefire was announced??

In 1947, you invaded a princely state and not India. India just stopped you in your tracks and prevented you from annexing the whole state by force..

Battles dont matter. Its the achievement of political objectives that do. Do you really want to make a list of what happened to political objectives in 1947, 65, 71, 84, 99 ??

No use discussing what happened in past.
But just keep our patriotism apart...:rofl::rofl: Could we through coins on them when they perform at Wagah. They presents a good show isnt it for us .

I found the goings on at the 'Beating the Retreat' at the Waggah-Attari border post totally immature, juvenile and medieval to say the least as if they were a bunch of kids playing at games of war and aggression while other kids in the audience cheered them on.

It is good that they have at last had the sense to tone down the foot stamping. The display should be known for its high quality of precise military drill movements and not for stamping feet and glaring at each other like little children.

Pak soliders are bigger than Indians. Look at the picture up top.

Duse what's up with the 'Mine's Bigger! Mine's Bigger! MINE'S BIGGERRRRRRRR' stuff? You seem to post that everywhere.

You know what a psychologist would have to say about that, right?

Appreciate their decision... Border is not a place for such drama for showing false pride and patriotism where visitor from both the side sit and watch this show..

It was an economic activity for both sides and this whole affair is what one would call "drama baazi".

A little bit of staring goes on at the 38th parallel in the Korean peninsula as well but ours is more comical.

I do empathize with the poor blokes having to deal with knee injuries down the road. One thing that all who have worn those boots will attest to is that every time there is a caution given and you stomp your feet, you feel the impact of the heel hitting the ground hard ring all the way up to your brains. That certainly cannot be a good thing in the long run. While its fun for those who are watching, the ones undergoing it tend to tire of it.

Good step , this drill should be banned and instead of this silliness performed by both parties they should rather do some thing bit more constructive on both sides.

and the height of hipocracy is while this ratardness is conducted on both side of the borders , we than want to conduct peace talks
