India, Pakistan agree to resume dialogue after more than two years

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan confirmed on Thursday an agreement with India to resume dialogue "on all issues", more than two years after peace talks collapsed, and said its foreign minister would visit India by July.

Pakistan's foreign ministry made the announcement in a statement that followed a meeting on Sunday between the two countries' top foreign ministry civil servants in Bhutan, where the two prime ministers also met in April 2010.

"They have agreed to resume dialogue on all issues following the spirit of the Thimphu meeting between the two prime ministers," said the statement.

"The foreign minister of Pakistan will visit India by July 2011 to review progress in the dialogue process with his counterpart. This will be preceded by a meeting of the two foreign secretaries," it added.

I don't see anything coming out of these talks, complete waste of time IMO. I feel its still not the right time for talks with so much mistrust between the two countries

The only remaining question is Kashmir. Once that problem is solved by relevant parties (China is a relevant party due to holding land in Kashmir, US is not) Pakistan finally start fulfilling its promise of being a shining beacon of the Muslim world.

First Indian state terrorism against Pakistan in 71, before that till date support to BLA terrorists, followed by Indian terrorism in Pakistan in 80s during first Afghan war when Karachi and Peshawar were bombed daily by your terrorists (oh ye at that you even did not have the excuse of any home grown militants doing that).
