Don't know why there is a problem with Beard. If someone wants to grow it they should be allowed to do so
Its more of a western doctrine. Looks like since our militaries still follow British army Culture they have this requirement.

I myself shave twice a week most of time. so I have some beard most days. Shaving a pain and waste of time

I have not read it any where. But had India done anything besides protest since two soldiers were killed? I hope India do something. Otherwise, many Indians would be mad.
