Its not just ANY diplomat....its our ex-PRESIDENT ! The mistake was nothing minor....
Nobody really care about your ex-president outside of India. U.S. has done good work in frisking him. We don't want any terrorists to slip through.

Excellent. Two employees have lost their jobs and livelihoods to assuage the hurt feelings of this guy. Justice has been served!
I've never heard of this guy before this moment. Sorry, your famous and respected and revered politicians are none of those things outside your nation.
The TSA are equal-opportunity idiots. It's not some plot to insult. Do you guys think "Hey, we're all racists, right? Let's mess with this goob and create an international incident!!"
Excellent. Two employees have lost their jobs and livelihoods to assuage the hurt feelings of this guy. Justice has been served!
I didn't get this part!
Are you saying that the TSA agent has to personally know any diplomat/dignitary for him to follow the required procedures for him/her?
Are there no protocols at all for them other than their obviously limited personal general knowledge?
What happens if someone doesn't know the US president personally in some country? What would you recommend he should be treated as?
Sorry don't care, TSA is doing its job and doing it well. If Indian dignitaries are so easily offended bubble wrap 'em and keep them home.
Who asked to remove job's??? did Indians asked, that guy is farmer President of India. We just quoted be careful with this kinda incidents.
No, but the shrieks and cries of outrage were shrill, incessant, non-stop. We've seen it right here. A written apology + a verbal apology apparently weren't enough to make people feel better, so they fired those people. I hope everyone who is outraged now feels OK. Mustn't have hurt feelings out there...
The TSA, in their profuse and groveling apology, acknowledged that the system didn't work in this case.
Here's how it should have happened...
India: "HEY! He's an important politician! You shouldn't have done that!"
USA: "Oh my goodness, we are sorry. Our people didn't follow protocol! We will review and make corrections."
India: "OK, sounds good. Apology accepted."
All that obviously didn't happen.

US sacks two officials for frisking Kalam inside aircraft
US authorities have sacked two officials of their Transport Security Agency for exceeding their brief by subjecting former President APJ Abdul Kalam to humiliation at New Yorks JFK airport on September 29.
The officials had not only frisked Kalam but went to the extent of taking his
jacket and shoes from a flight he had already boarded as first reported by Hindustan Times on November 13.
Following what can at best be described as over-zealousness by the American security officials, the two countries are discussing ways to draw up a common no-frisk list so that such blunders do not take place in future.
But the task is proving to be difficult as there are too many VIPs in India, a senior government official said here on Wednesday.
The action against the two security officials was taken after US authorities carried out an enquiry following India's complaint and found that they had indeed frisked Kalam and later forced the crew of the Air India plane he had boarded to open its door and hand over the former president's jacket and shoes to check for explosives.
President Kalam is not exempt from screening in the US but as a part of mutual courtesies, he gets an escort and a place for private screening. Such courtesies are extended even up to a secretary-level official.
