I don't understand why talk now and not after 26/11 or 6 months after that... why after a so long... is it because election are coming in Muslim dominated states and ruling party want to be in good face... why all of a sudden West Bengal Govt states 10% quota for backward Muslims.. why all these now....

Pakistan Politician are utilizing it to prove that they have forced us to talk and gaining upper hand in political scenario back home....Why all these after Lahore rally(JuD and Others).

These politician should be sent to Saudi Arabia and punished under Arabs Law...in full public view...

I hope from this talk something fruitful comes up or it will be only high talking in some 5 star hotel with good food and wine with public money and with no outcome.

There is no need to talk or rather to say nothing to talk is left as we have talked over 62 years.

It is time of action.

But India's problem is oldies. These type of old people like Atal Bihai or MMS they are incapableof out of the box thingking and afried of taking bold steps.

The government is being run bay babus and the 90% of the ministers are not because of their work but because of their relationship with high command. These ministers are not mass leaders majority of them can barely win a seat for them or from Rajya Sabha. This shows they does not know the pulse of the people and also does not have people's support. They are chamcas with no vision or talent.

Pakistan will rant as usual. There can't be a peace with pak since they are only one who are responsible for all.

Till the time India gets a young PM and strong government the terrorist and their sponsor will have a free run.

Take baby steps. Declare a cease fire for 2 years on both sides of the border and stick to it. Slowly open trade between the 2 nations. Baby steps were taken with Bangladesh about 2 years ago and the fruits are starting to ripen only now. Once trust and open dialogue is resumed then only can major issues such as Kashmir and Afghanistan and the water issues be introduced into the agenda.

India should commit to talks EVEN IF terror attacks upon India resume, while keeping silent about possible Indian responses to such things. That would be the surest deterrent to future attacks.

will USA do such a thing We have suffered more from Islamic terrorism than USA for u its just one attack 9/11 and the whole world knows what happened after words and as a free gift for Afghanistan invasion was Iraqi invasion............. but here we have a lot starting from 91 mumbai blast and still counting down so before posting something think..................

Pakistan hits out at India again

Speaking at a village near Multan, Qureshi said, "They were preparing for an attack on Pakistan. Today, after one year, the same forces who were threatening to attack Pakistan following the Mumbai incident, are sending Pakistan an invitation for talks."

Qureshi said that Pakistan's interests would be safeguarded. There would be no compromise on issues of national importance during the talks, he reportedly added.

Recently, India recommended February 18 and 25 as dates for negotiations with Pakistan.

On Sunday, he had said that India has agreed to resume bilateral dialogue only because Pakistan took a tough stance on the issue.

"India, which talked about breaking their relationship with us, which talked about turning their back on us, two days ago has approached us and said that we want to sit and talk to you, we want to resume our relationship with you. Pakistan did not kneel. Pakistan held its ground," said Qureshi.

"God willing, we will talk to them and present our case because our case is strong, it is not weak. Whether it be Kashmir or water or any other issue," he added.

India stopped dialogue with Pakistan after the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. It has agreed to resume dialogue only after being convinced that Pakistan is actually taking steps to punish those behind the attack that killed 166 people.
