India Offers Surrender Package To Maoists

LOL. Why would the Indian Maoist accept the package when they are not the one losing the fight ????

I predict in the near future it will be the Naxals ruling India.

Keep dreaming buddy  its not going to happen. They dont really enjoy the peoples support.

I dare say your analysis is not correct. They may seem to be killing peoples but they do not have resources to continue this for long. Also there were people who were neutral/ignorant about the issue, they too got against maoist because of the killings.

Maoist will not accept the surrender package, neither china nor the west will not let those happen, just like dalai lama is not ready to sign any treaty with the chinese government. (India and the west will not allow it)
This is the final surrender package they'd get. If they don't accept it, then Human Rights would be crying their eyes our soon over what we do with these b***ar*s. We'd give these terrorists the treatment that would make Mao look like a saint for all the butchering of innocent Indians they've done.

They know that this is the last straw. If the Army is brought into force, it is over for them. China will stop eventually supporting the naxalites over the possibility of trade and other benefits. Dalai Lama has no political activity in India and you know that very well.

He's a Buddhist sage who might have had a political history but only gives religious discourses in holy cities like Bodh Gaya and in our east. I have personally attended one of his discourses and all he mentions is about our Sutras and the Buddhist philosophy. The PLA just wants to repress and exterminate Buddhism and is spreading false propaganda while we have solid evidence of Maoist violence in our country.

You very well know that Tibet independence is nothing but word today in the hearts of Tibetans and that to gain your trust our government even forcefully disbanded many Tibetan protest marches. Even then your CCP continues to support Maoists.

The West (if involved) is already suffering its Karma in Afghanistan and Iraq daily through blasts and Taliban attacks. But I doubt they'd support any Communist related movement because ultimately another Communist country that too of our stature (heavens forbid) will be a direct threat to them alongside you lot.

HH Dalai Lama's surrender treaty entails him to be jailed and tortured for rest of his life and the end of Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet-- which gives CCP the license to exteriminate all Buddhists and Buddhist ideologies and replace them with their man-made ones. Instead of encouraging Buddhists and helping them so that they loyally support the CCP, your Mao chose to kill our kind, massacre, jail and torture them till we submitted to the Red Book.

I would know because not only HH Dalai Lama says this but also the common Tibetan monks who ran away from the purges of PLA who're nowhere close to HH in any rank or position.

Our government agreed not to allow Tibetan political activities and still CCP continues to support Maoists? This is called two timing, which CCP has been good at doing against us Indians since 1950s.

Oh you better pray that doesn't happen because then we'd be your master's favourite friends and you'd be at the mercy of USA again. Maoists are basically Communists.

What if they surrender, take the money and go back to fighting?

Bad idea.

Maoist want nothing other than an opportunity to join in econmic development and an end to the state terrorism of their lands. It is purely an economic struggle.

If they get money they will go their own way.

What do you think caused Andhra to be successful? Because they showed the finger to these non-Indian meddlesome foreign rights groups and went ahead with brute force against these terrorists.

That's why it succeeded whereas West Bengal's Communist secret allies of Maoists want them to be there and other states' weak leaders are worried about what the world would say... as if the world would help India if it is invaded by such losers!

From that POV, you gotta admit that Chinese sure have strong leadership and deal death to terrorists.--if we set aside their suppression of normal people.

I can see some striking similarities between the peace deal signed by the Taliban and Pakistan Gov in Swat to this one.

And I have no doubt that is ultimately bound to fail.

For heavensake the Maoists make abt 3000 cr a year thru extortions, illegal mining rackets etc.

Do any one think thy ll give up on that for a measly 1 lakh each. :disagree:

Mayb this is just to deflect the blame by the bloody Human rights activists on the Govt.

Tomo even if some Maoists are killed the Govt can say that "we offered them amnesty, they didn accept" - So we r not responsible for wat has happened and go away.

Calcutta, July 27: The “pinpoint” information that helped the joint forces bust a Maoist camp yesterday has shed light on the existence of a string of listening posts set up by CPM cadres in rebel-dominated areas of West Midnapore.

Police sources said yesterday’s risky night raid in which six Maoists were killed was facilitated by a specific tip-off from one of the 50-odd CPM camps in the area.

Nearly every one of these armed outposts are near police camps, which means the joint forces can rush to their aid if they are attacked by the rebels.

Police sources said most of these camps set up by the cadres were located in Goaltore, Salboni, Dherua, Bhimpur, Jamboni, Bhalukbasha and Binpur, all areas with a substantial Maoist presence.

Apart from acting as a deterrent for the Maoists, these camps help the cadres collect information about the movement of the rebels and alert the police. The sources said these armed camps also help cut off back-up support for the Maoists during encounters with the security forces.

Although the government has not given official sanction to these camps, such cells cannot operate in an area where joint forces are deployed without some sort of backing or blessing from the administration. Completely cut off from the area, both the administration and the security forces were finding their hands tied by lack of information and intelligence.

“We received specific tip-offs before our raid in the Ranja forest last month as well as yesterday’s raid in the Metala forest. Both proved successful as we managed to kill several Maoists on both occasions,” West Midnapore police chief Manoj Verma said, without making any reference to the CPM outposts.

Among the six Maoists killed yesterday was Sidhu Soren, a leader whose writ ran over vast swathes of the rebel belt. Eight Maoists were killed in the June 16 encounter in the Ranja forest near Lalgarh, the joint forces’ biggest success yet against the Bengal rebels.

It’s not that the cadres haven’t counted losses. Police sources said some of them have been killed in clashes with the rebels. “Sometimes we find bodies lying inside the forests that cannot be identified,” an official said. “We believe these are bodies of CPM cadres who have come from outside the district to lend support to their comrades here.”

The sources said the CPM set up the first camp at its party office in Enayatpur, near Dherua, last September (see graphic). Armed cadres stationed there beat back a group of Maoists trying to enter Midnapore town.

Encouraged by this, the CPM set up more armed camps in different parts of Maoist-infested areas where the police have a significant presence. The sources said the arms the cadres use include AK-series rifles so that they can match the firepower of the Maoists.

Supplies reach the camps from neighbouring states, and are sometimes routed through Calcutta. According to the police sources, a consignment of 5,000 cartridges intercepted by Calcutta police recently was meant for the CPM camps. The consignment was coming from Bihar.

While the police identified the person in Patna who supplied the ammunition, they were silent on who the cartridges were meant for. Four persons were arrested in connection with the haul. All four are in judicial custody now.

Worth Trying.. they are anyways fighting.. isn't it? Even if it has 10% probability of success I will give it a try. I think this is wise decision cause it directly attacks the root of the problem i.e. poverty and lack of opportunity for poor in certain areas. At the same time, CRPF should carry on with their cleansing job getting rid of Maoists at a regular fashion that will build up more pressure to accept the deal.

Maoist leader surrenders in Jharkhand

A self-style zonal commander of the CPI(Maoist) has surrendered and deposited a carbine to the police at Medininagar of Jharkhand, police said today.

Rajdev Yadav alias Dev Narayan Yadav was the Koel-Sankh zone Committee commander who surrendered yesterday, Palamau Superintendent of Police, Anup Mathew told PTI.

Yadav joined a naxalite outfit among several operating in Bihar in 1995 and immediately rose to the rank of area commander at Manatu-Pratapur in Palamau division. After formation of CPI(Maoist) with the merger of all underground naxalite groups in 2004, he became its zonal commander in 2009 and was active at Chek area in Plamau’s Manatu.

Yadav told the police that he had surrendered because he was not happy with the Maoists’ approach to solving the problems of the society, the police super said.

He was involved in an attack on a police party in 2005, besides being named in thirteen other Maoist-related incidents.

As per Jharkhand’s surrender policy, Yadav was given Rs one lakh immediately and later he would get Rs five lakh after the approval of a resettlement committee, he said.

He would also get a piece of land and Rs. 50,000 as assistance to start his livelihood, besides free healthcare, legal aid and free education to his children till matriculation.

Yadav’s surrender comes close on the heels of a woman Maoist turning in before Ramgarh SP Hemant Toppo earlier this week. She was a member of a guerrilla squad and was unhappy with the CPI (Maoist’s) violent ideology.
