If they visit Israel, would there be more terrorist attacks in response?

I dont see such possibility that Palestinians can launch any attack against India and nor Iran they are the only two countries that can oppose this visit.

Saudis are partners with Israel and Israel conducts air strikes against Asad regime in support of ISIS and FSA fighting Asad forces and his allies. UAE, KSA etc have close relations with India as well so there is no such chance of retaliation but instead there might be a muted approval and Modi might land in one of the morach states to say hello to them

Narendra Modi is set to become the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. The dates have not yet been finalised, but the Prime Minister’s office must introspect hard before that in order to comprehend the moral benefits of such a trip.

Israel and India have shared 23 years of diplomatic relations. An official visit, however, will put a stamp of approval on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s inhuman policies towards Palestinians. Israel has been carrying out a steady campaign, over decades, of denying the Palestinian people the right to have a separate homeland and coupled with this humiliation are acts of murder where men, women and children are being systematically liquidated. It is not for nothing that an international campaign to hold Israel accountable for its crimes is gathering pace.

It is precisely on these grounds that India — being one of the architects of the non-aligned movement, which refuses to align with any bloc or alliance, particularly those led by the US and Russia; and as a supporter of nonviolence and international cooperation as a means of settling disputes — must cancel the visit. New Delhi has an obligation to live up to its own ethics and delegitimise Israel.

This is not a political visit.This is more alike a business trip.A relation with Israel is essential for our national interest.
Palestinian issue will remain there.Let the Muslims come with a unified stance .Then we can think about it.

Yes, but can these gulf states afford not to sell their oil? ? China(is already) and to a lesser extent India will be the world largest oil consumers. Can these backward Middle Eastern countries afford not to sell them their oil? Lol if they dont, then I'm afraid all of them will become just another Yemen. lmao

Israel faces a demographic nightmare with the amount of arabs/muslims on the verge of overtaking the number if jews across gaza, israel and the west bank

With a higher birth rate, palestinians who marry early have their families quickly will spell the end of a democratic jew state, israel will either become a bi national state where the number of arab/muslims keeps rising or it becomes a apartheid state where it oppresses the majority to keep jew rule a untenable situation

True talk, India like every power /country should look after it's own national interest first and foremost, any other thing comes secondary . In this regard India knows full well that the smart /intelligent /wealthy /advanced Jew's can offer India far more than any backward religious Muslim/middle Eastern country in the Middle East can (Israel is India's second or third largest defence supplier and a major tech provider ) what can Palestine,KSA,Iran etc offer India? lol

Unfortunately that's how geo politics works, there is no emotion/morality. National interests are always paramount. Don't blame the player blame the game . So I expect Indo Israeli relations to keep getting stronger /closer, while some Middle Eastern countries /Iran etc can keep whinning , but won't change anything, since what can they offer India apart from oil (which India buys by the way, it's not like it's free. Lol )

Well we have a good relation with all those nations you mentioned in there.
Like Israel they are also important to us .We have 7 million expats in GCC and also several billion $ of trade with them .Iran is also our partner .You should know about our project in Chabhar .
Fact is everyone is important to us.This wont be a political trip.

When one whines, it should have some semblance of reality, tenuous though that link may be.

Given the fact that Israel enjoys virtually unquestioned US backing, how does an Indian PM visiting legitimize anything?

Moreover, this is just a coming out party, India and Israel have enjoyed deep and mutually beneficial relationship certainly since the 90s, probably much before that as well.

Just FYI- I dont think middle eastern countries( or the GCC countries to be specific) would react much. GCC had surprisingly taken a very neutral stand when Oman turned into a mediator between America and Iran. Now Iran is supposedly a pariah state for GCC, and everybody expected that Oman will have to face the wrath of the other GCC countries, but nothing happened. Surprised???
This incident proves that economics is GCC's first priority.
