India moves to end primary teaching in English as Modi unveils major education reforms

apologies if I came off as aggressive. Was not the intention.
I’m cool as a cucumber brah, if only text and writing wasn’t tone deaf, you would hear me say what I said in the most light hearted of manner.

Most Marathi brah's are very chill like that. I know, dude.

Why do you lot suck up to that bawa Padam-Chen. He's just a plain disgusting a$$hole

uthto ka tujha.. mala vatla half biryani aahes :D

On topic- here is a pdf on policy

Dude it was the 90's ...it was a wonderful time. You lot would never know. Just watch some movies from that era. but even that doesn't capture the essence.

I got that part correct in my mind...but the compounding effect sent me to another orbit.

Still it's way easier when you read Marathi in English script
I myself prefer reading a Marathi book that has been translated to English but it doesn't mean I hate the Devanagiri script. It's just that my brain has been accustomed to reading only in English. This is really basic actually and you having problems with Devanagiri is understandable but making fun of it is laughable.

Inspite of my preference, I read perfectly without stumbling in Devanagiri be it Hindi or Marathi.

Dude I was no.1 harami right from school days. There were other things to learn from girls apart from her language.....
Gujarati, Sindhi, Marathi..all girls were welcome in my book
It's evident, it seems your cyber avatar is carrying your real world personalty at PDF
It's late WTH are you doing in wee hours of night.

No night life in USA these days.. no doubt you turned turned into a cucumber. :haha:

what's timeline and implementation plan for this policy? This Govt. made few good moves in past but screwed all of them by poor execution. I'm really apprehensive and have my own doubt. Hope things will pan out fine or our future gen will be screwed.

we are an accepting lot I suppose?
He represents Marathi pride with honor even though he is Parsi. Kind of a unique situation, so I like to encourage it.
Plus, except on a few occasions where he has crossed the line (not with me), his posts are entertaining.
Frankly, I don’t really take this forum seriously, nor should one.
If everything said here was taken to heart, one would be left with nothing but hate and bigotry.
Say what you have to and move on is my principle.

I think one of the most significant developments of the education reform is an SAT type system for college entrance.

the board system and the pressure that comes with it is why half of indian students are “ratta” champions.

forget the English, this alone will change the entire way our children progress through higher education.
I would focus on this aspect of the reform.

I don't see this anywhere in the article or the PDF posted by Madagascar's @King Julien

well modi is fucking over everything now eh? education system of india is extremely strong compared to even the most developed countries in the world... i remember how difficult it was for me to pass class 12 and yet in university, everything felt like piece of cake... But cow cola urea must have gotten to them

You don't get it, do you?

There was a fox that was singularly unfortunate and got into a fight with a pack of dogs. They mauled him and bit off his tail before he managed to bite his way out and escape. After a few days in hiding, the throbbing in his hinder parts eased, the scabs healed and he felt normal again. He came out of hiding and went hunting.

As soon as the other foxes saw him, they doubled over laughing."Look, look at his butt end!" they howled in delight, and held their sides.

The fox drew himself up to his full height and assumed a lofty expression.

"You peasants know I've come back from a long stay abroad," he said.

"No, we don't. What's that got to do with that red stump that you're wiggling at us?" they said, guffawing at him.

"Nobody there has tails any more. It's the fashionable thing to do with upper class foxes. If you knew anything, you would get rid of those ugly, hairy bits too," he said very grandly.

good move. can't stand FOB indians speaking in english like it's their mother language with a shitty accent. first step to learn english is to know that it's not your mother language and then learn to pronounce CORRECTLY!!!! And WTF is with 2 Indians talking to each otherstion in english when you have your own languages?

You want me to talk Hindi to some Hindi-speaking cow-cola type? Or should I shift to Tamil speaking to Nilgiri? Or speak Assamese with Axomiya_Lora? Marathi with Peshwa? Or should I stick to my guns and insist they speak to me in Bengali?

What a brilliantly fatuous suggestion.

Haha
You have your ways senor!
Or as one would call it “muhavrein” in Hindi

Good move. It'll save the world from hearing the most ridiculous English accent heard anywhere in the world.

Indian accent is an embarrassment to South Asia.

You can always say you are Spanish, and totally ignore South Asia. They don't deserve tall, fair blondes like you.

Hopefully no more Indians in 2030 on YT be like: ello gais Mai nem is pajeet Sharma & wilcum to Mai chinnal dEziTeCh

It is to be hoped that you will not misuse 'hopeful' the way you are doing here. Sadly, it is only to be hoped, but not expected.

Personally, I love the devnagri script and it’s use of the “line” above to maintain neatness.

Though if it’s calligraphy, nothing beats the Arabic script.
