People Balti's , Ladakh Scout members are natives of the region, they know every rock, ridge and grass shoot htere. Also they give hell to any invader 4000 dead PA troops stand testimony to this in Kargil. The Ladakh Scouts were one of the first units to be deployed in action in Operation Vijay. Its units displayed exemplary gallantry and won numerous awards, including a Maha Vir Chakra for Major Sonam Wangchuk. The Scouts were awarded a Unit Citation for their gallantry during the battles of Point 5000 on night 05/06 July 1999, Dog Hill on the night 30 June/1 July, and Padma Go on the night 09/10 July 1999, in the Batalik Sector. The citation recognizes the unit's performance with distinction during Operation Vijay and display of exemplary valour and grit in the face of the enemy.

These people come second to ferocity to Nagas who can devour a man alive and kill a bear with bare hands. PLA you are messing with hardcore troops.

With Chinese forces intruding nearly 10km inside Indian territory in Ladakh, India is likely to send an Army contingent to the area to be on guard even though it wants to avoid a confrontation.

Indian Army had earlier sent a team of Ladakh Scouts — an infantry regiment specialising in mountain warfare — to the Daulat Beg Oldi sector, manned by the troops of Indo—Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) — soon after it was discovered that the Chinese troops had set up a camp there.

Additional troops may be deployed in the area if the situation does not de-escalate and Chinese troops do not go back to their old position, sources said here on Tuesday.

A platoon—strength contingent of China’s People’s Liberation Army(PLA) had come 10km inside the Indian territory in Burthe in DBO sector, located at an altitude of about 17,000 feet, on the night of April 15 and established a tented post there.

A Chinese Army Platoon usually consists of around 50 troops.

India and China on Tuesday conducted second round of flag-meeting in the area since the incursion was reported and India asked the Chinese side to revert to the status quo position. The first meeting was held on April 18.

On earlier occasions, the Indian and Chinese troops had transgressed into each other’s territory due to differences in perception of the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The Defence Ministry had earlier also maintained that the LAC is not properly demarcated in some areas.

ITBP troops have also established a camp approximately 300m opposite the Chinese location and is monitoring the development.

DBO, located in northernmost Ladakh, is an historic camp site and located on an ancient trade route connecting Ladakh to Yarkand in Xinjiang, China.

This is childish. If they're so stubborn on indian fortifications, then they shouldn't provoke by building roads and fortifications on their side either.

SFF comes under RAW, SSB and ITBP have NOTHING to do with RAW, SSB and ITBP are both under the command of the MHA. RAW is under the control of the PMO and has zero control over any of the MHA's assets unless in special circumstances.

It is for the cameras/audience, this is a show nothing else. Watch an actual combat drill or firing of such guns in war and none of these "theatrics" are present, they operate just like any other arty crew in any other modern army.

I think it'll be another "glorious retreat" by PLA or IA personnel will arrest them,detain them and handover them to the Chinese authority just like previous times,what we call standard procedure.no way India and China will wind up things for smaller matters like this..
