India lost because of it weak military and Hopelessly under equipped North easter border units.

The Chinese had better equipment
The outnumbered us 60,000 : 12,000

Back stabbing had nothing to do with it.

Nehuru's failure to accept reality and Dis-regard for Military advisers.
Lead to our defeat.
But in way we gained more then we lost in that war.

The Chinese may have won the war. A war that frankly is the most important in the south Asia region. as the consequences of which have shaped South Asia as it is today.

During the aftermath.

Now the Chinese left the victor but, what did they leave behind.

You see before the War the Indian Military was really a bare minimum force. Military spending was intentionally kept low. There wer no grand ambitions of a strong military.

What China really did was turn India into a military power.

A nation that would have otherwise been very limited in it military.

India should thanks China instead:)! That's a more reasonable answer compare to some rubbish posted

:mod:this post is Just to alert the mods:mod:...coz this is what shChinese is doing on all the threads.. u will find these same posts on every thread irrespective of topic of thread...

not really.

you subs can't fire nuke from undersea, you don't have bombers flying 24 hours a day carrying nuke. so in theory, as long as we can destroy you in the first wave attack, you are done. there will be no such "both the nations" crap as at that time, there is no longer a nation called india.

:smokin: remember, in terms of industrialization and weapon quality, there is a 40 years gap between india and China.

you even could not build a MBT on your own.

by the time india hit Lahore, our CJ-10 is already on its way to your PM and defence minister's offices and homes.
No, it is very different.

When we look at the gap between the US and China, almost all Chinese (90+%) would acknowledge it and most of them are willing to address the gap. As we know the life quality and the innovative people over there, we know how the outside world looks like and we want to catch up. We don't give excuses, we have such a big gap because of our own faults.

The same can't be said when it comes to the gap between China and india.

How many different excuses you have ever used or heard regarding the gap between China and india?

How many indian know the 30-40 years gap between Shanghai and Mumbai? At least your current PM doesn't know it, he claimed 5 years ago that Mumbai is going to overtake Shanghai in 5 years.

How many indian know the fact that even our poor families on social security can afford to have AC at home?

How many indian know the fact that our "copied" Su-27 (named J-11B) is more powerful/lighter/cheaper/more flexible than Su-27 according to almost all western sources?

How many indian know the fact that China's software industry is way more stronger (generating twice as much the GDP) than the indian one? how many indian know the fact that they can talk to their friends on mobile because Chinese companies are supplying india with mobile phones, mobile network backbone devices?

How many indian know the fact that Tibet's per capita GDP is higher than india's even when Tibet is considered as the least developed area in China?

How many indian know the fact that we sale 12 million cars every damn single year in China?

How many indian know the fact that more than 10 million of the above damn cars are made in China?

How many indian know the fact that many Chinese see the regime in new delhi as an evil monster that keeps spending billions on weapons while totally neglecting the daily lives of 1 billion indian?

given such "good" knowledge about your rising neighbor, how can you find out the root of your problem? how can you fix the problem? how can you win the competition? or are you still dreaming that China and india can live peacefully next to each other and enjoy a happy 21th century?

 the gap between india and China is widening, in military strength, in education, in science and tech, in economy, in living conditions, in life expectancy, in international influence.

oh, let's don't forget democracy, please keep carrying that banner, even when we bomb your capital. Here you go:

"New Delhi and Mumbai should only be bombed and occupied by democratic foreign nations, as we are democratic!"

thermonuclear Bomb upto 200 Kilo Tonnes! wowo. let's celebrate. The first Thermonuclear Bomb we tested in 1960s was 3300 kilo tonnes, grow up, we are not in the same scale.
1/5 of the car production clearly reflects the different industrial capacity of the two nations.

trust me dude, you won't export any single car when you must have 12 million of them produced in india to meet the local demand -- because your capacity is only about 2-3 million.
I will be damn happy to see our CJ-10 missiles in Pak's warehouse. nuke capable CJ-10 that can hit india PM's office in a single shot brings peace to the region.

when our population centers are 4000 km away from yours, and you don't have proven reliable delivery methods to strike those locations with nuke, tell me how you are going to fight back?

let me tell you something dude:

New Delhi is 300km away from our border.
Beijing and Shanghai is 3000km away from our border.

our missiles can hit your capital in seconds, while yours take minutes to fly to Beijing, with a increased probability of failure or being destroyed on its way.

our ground forces pushed into country, stayed 100 km away from your capital during our 1962 war when we two nations have a comparable strength. now we have a 20-30 years gap in terms military strength.

consider these.
Just had a look at the China defence forum, funny that 650 million indian do not have access to toliet while the nation is building this h-bomb.

if this is not a direct violation to the human rights, tell me what does human rights mean? to vote in a moron like singh who claimed 5 years ago that Mumbai will overtake Shanghai in 5 years?

:smokin: fake democracy leads your nation to the current awful situation.

@Mods: Request the mods to please stop this in the beginning of thread itself coz just one guy is derailing all the threads...

"New Delhi is 300km away from our border?????"

From where did you get that? Oh your communist masters have told you so and taught you that if you don't say this they will send you to one of the black jail or just shoots you. As they filter the internet and have spies at every nook and corner.

Moreover this debate is very painful because we are talking about possible deaths which is bad.

Indian or Pakistani was one about 62 years back a border can not bring de-wide us so much that we destroy each other for generation. We can hate/love or have fights/quarrel but no nuke please.

Long live India and Pakistan. Have debate not war.

To all,

Plz don't carried awy in all China hype of supereority, they have some advantages and growth no doubt about it.

Please wait, in few days i will post some very authentic links and materials that will puncture their Han chauvinism for sure. No..No.. they will not 100% accept that but our pakistani and indian friends will. :hitwall:

Communists always have high propogenda and they will talk with you so much confidance and authority that you will belive their lie as truth.

Following is the one of the gretest example of that

The Great wall of China can not be seen from space.

Which China tautes in its textbooks to kids and they grow up like Mr.shchinese the day dreamers with false superiority complex.

"China ends Great Wall space myth:yahoo::yahoo:

China's first man in space, Yang Liwei, could not see the wall
China is changing official thinking about a common misconception relating to its best-known ancient site.
For decades, elementary schoolbooks have maintained that the Great Wall of China could be seen from space - but now the books are being rewritten.

The Wall, China now admits, cannot in fact be seen from the heavens - a fact proved by China's own astronaut Yang Liwei, who became the country's first person in space last year."

I know, i know that chinese will run for my blood so plz don't jump to guns here is the link of BBC (Not an Indian site):chilli:
