Richard and Verma? The dude don't look like a Richard to me. Ah the indian "Coconut" mindset, brown on the outside and white on the inside.

As for india leading the world in every category is concerned, that is nothing more than a pipe-dream. This is despite the fact that the West, led by the Anglos (US, UK), have poured in investments, media blitz and political backing to india over the last 30 years.

The other side of the coin looks something like this:

Financial analysts have casted their doubts about the veracity of india's published figures of GDP over the last 30 years. There is reasonable doubt as to the accuracy of their numbers, which some suspect, are fudged. Evidence has pointed these analysts in that direction and as such there is no verifiable and true data that could support "india leading the world in every category by 2030."

Indian statistics grossly overstated GDP growth, says former adviser

Findings add to growing concern over reliability of official statistics. India’s former chief economic adviser has concluded that the country’s economic growth rate was significantly overestimated between 2011 and 2017, adding to concerns that official statistics have masked a sharp slowdown in the economy.

Arvind Subramanian, a veteran economist who advised the Indian government from 2014 to 2018, said that the country’s average annual growth in gross domestic product between 2011 and 2017 was in fact around 4.5 per cent, against official estimates of 7 per cent. His findings were presented in a research paper published by the Center for International Development at Harvard University’s Kennedy School, which found that the correlations between 17 independent indicators of economic activity and GDP broke down after 2011, leaving India an outlier compared to other countries’ economic data.

“The heady narrative of a guns-blazing India that statisticians led us to believe may have to cede to a more realistic one of an economy growing solidly but not spectacularly,” Mr. Subramanian said, writing in the Indian Express newspaper, adding that the data may provide an answer to the country’s recent puzzle of “jobless growth”.

Mr. Subramanian said the errors were the result of technocratic methodological changes under both the previous Congress-led administration and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, clarifying that he viewed the issue as separate from more recent controversies over the politicization of India’s GDP data under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Still, the findings will add to growing doubts over the reliability of the country’s official statistics, coming a month after a government agency took the unusual step of highlighting multiple gaps in a database used to calculate GDP figures.

Mr. Subramanian emphasized that the policy implications of the errors could have been substantial, saying “the Indian policy automobile has been navigated with a faulty, possibly broken, speedometer”. He pointed to interest rates that may have been set as much as 150bp too high, and action on agricultural and banking sector distress that may have been too slow as possible results of the inaccurate data. Pre-empting questions over his tenure as chief economic adviser during the period in question,

Mr. Subramanian said his team “raised these doubts frequently within government, and publicly articulated these in a measured manner in government documents”, but that his time outside government had been necessary to gather robust evidence of the flaws.

Former US ambassador to India Richard Verma has said India may lead the world in every category and with the youngest workforce in the region, the South Asian country will hold that advantage until 2050. “… the most populous nation, the most college graduates, the largest middle-class, the most cell phone and Internet users, along with the third-largest military and third-largest economy, all coexisting in the world's largest democracy, with 600 million people under the age of 25,” Richard Verma said on Monday, news agency PTI reported.

Verma made the remarks during the commencement address to the Jindal University School of Banking and Finance in Haryana's Sonipat.

“That's on top of the massive development that is taking place in India today right before our eyes. Some $2 trillion will be spent on infrastructure in just the next decade,” he said. "The bulk of the infrastructure needed for 2030 is yet to be built. That's why some 100 new airports are under planning or construction today alone," he added.

He told students that India has the youngest workforce in Asia. “…and you'll hold that advantage until 2050. That's pretty formidable,” he said.

Finally, the first result of Cow Urine Export to the USA revealed. !!!!

This dude is a US representative but talks as if he speaks for Modi's government.
Indian origin folks will always have the back of their motherland, and that's a compliment.

Tell me something new. Godi media doing what it majored in. Trying the influence the masses of India while being far from reality. I do genuinely wonder what a normal Indian citizen's perception is of India on the world stage.

As for the “normal” Indians:

The Indian middle class are spending 10x more, compared to
10 years back, on their kids education in foreign countries so that they can settle there.

The rich Indians are leaving India en masse with their capital. So, investment, employment, consumer confidence etc. are drastically going down in India.

Etc.

.
Indian's are VERY good in establishing and expanding their human resources abroad in all the major companies and give them credit for it, so yeah by 2030 i wouldn't be surprised to see an Indian sitting at key position in many of the top tier companiess out there.

On other fronts well we already know that India became SUPAPOWA back in 2020 so lets not go there

.
Lmao... Is this satire or what... I feel like I teleported to an alternative world for this is not the world we are currently living in plus 2030 is just around the corner just 8 years away.. Since the covid India will go the opposite meaning increase in poverty rate... Bro India has more poverty than the whole world combined and these figures will keep increasing..

This is me landing in an alternative world where India leads in everything..

Aside from Jokes here is my prediction for India the GDP will increase but that is only deception because the population will grow and so will the poverty rate and the infrastructure will worsen because it will age on average thru out the country.. From decade to decade India's situation will worsen mark my words
Salut. You made a good showing in the other place.

I think Mr. Verma was just caught in the enthusiasm of the moment and felt compelled to pep up the gathered students with some over-patriotism. This is just like that former Indian scientist who some days ago declared that the Indian space program is more advanced than the Chinese space program despite China now operating a rover on Mars and a space station in Low Earth Orbit.

Verma's point about the most number of college graduates in the world I think is true even now. For example every year Indian colleges produce the most number of computer engineers in the world - about 160,000 - and this having been the fact for at least the last 20 years thereby there being a few million computer engineers in total, yet there is not a single Indian design of the two fundamental elements in a classical computer - the microprocessor and the operating system. And we can see not much innovation from Indian graduates in other education streams like civil engineering. So just having most number of college graduates isn't enough for societal development.

Also Verma's point about "third-largest economy by 2030" is not valid. Even now India is the sixth-largest economy yet that apparent wealth is not distributed among the citizens of India. This is the enduring drawback of Capitalism.
It is not the average IQ or the IQ of the majority that matters but that of the best ones.

bestest is Siri Modi g SIri Amit G and Siri Yogi g these three are the assmartest Hindus alive!

spread lies and hate and control billions!

GENIUS!! 600 iq play!

India is an imperialist bully in its Neighborhood.

In India, poor is too poor and wealthy is too wealthy. Despite a large economy a very small minority possesses the national wealth. India with the current establishment resembles a weak version of American capitalism which is bound to fail already.

If a Chinese guy said that, i would have considered it as a matter of fact but India? Its impossible.

It is not the average IQ or the IQ of the majority that matters but that of the best ones.

So where are the best ones at least in computing or in portable, device-level, decentralized electricity generation ?

India with the current establishment resembles a weak version of American capitalism which is bound to fail already.

Not weak version of American Capitalism. India is the most extreme Capitalist society since the last 3000 years. :)

Yeah nice tactics to please India. All this is happening just to persuade India to fight China but India already showed to the world that it doesn't have balls. First s-400 now this, i mean everyone knows how to please Indians.

Etc.

Your right, capital flight and a brain drain of those able to leave.

The US has learned, from building up China, never to build up another potential rival. China asks for technology transfers and local production as the cost of doing business for foreign companies looking to do business in their country.

Doubt the US will now agree to something similar in India , when the American public is demanding jobs be brought back to the US, with the help of automation and up-skilling.

India may get some US companies to go there (and China will incentivize these companies to stay for as long as possible, at least until 2050 when India’s demographic dividend runs out) but without India transforming it’s entire society/economy relationship (ex. world class technical skills of average workers), it will only get part of the benefit.

finally, India is bogged down in military disputes with two of its neighbors and is squandering its energy (on behalf of foreign interests) when regional economic integration of the most efficient way to grow their economy.
