BMDs are such unproven tech and missiles are designed to evade them. The success rate will probably be around under 50%. It's a good way to burn your money and give the nation a false sense of security. Even if 5 nukes hit their target that can cripple a nation as big as India.
Its only burning money if a country cannot afford it, and India can afford it being one of the fastest growing trillion dollar economy.
Regardless of the BMD's success rate(which is increasing every year as BMD tech evolves) if the opponent country has no BMD that means when India retaliates the aggressor country is going down completely.
It is more complete than the OP article..that is all to it.. BTW we are almost still in 2017.. this is just the 4th of January 2018.. so 1 year old news..
Well if we are going to nit pick about accuracy, 1 and a half year old article.
Also since the article came out in 2016 there have been numerous successful tests of ABM in India all showing incremental capabilities.
