India:Mass Leader Rahul Gandhi gives Modi '0' out of '10' for lacklusture tenure

It is always good to have a nice supreme leader than a worthless challenger.

No sir.. I respectfully disagree..Great empires have fallen because there was nobody to challenge the authority and it's decisions. No matter how idiotic that question is, there should always be a provision to ask that question.

Even though i don't like communist party but look at china.Even though there is not democracy or rights for people but one party system made their country a rapid change and look at their progress.

We are pulling one others leg even though it is good for the state.

A healthy opposition is in great interest of Democracy, it prevent complacency and keeps government in check.
That bit said, while it is true that Congress is the only party having pan Indian presence that can challenge BJP, the fact remains that the current leadership in Congress honestly doesn't give much hope.
After last year defeat in LS elections, a lot of experts pointed out that the congress top brass and leadership had almost lost any kind of connect with local masses and the communication of behalf of leaders with grass root and the representation of common people was all but finished.
Today what Congress requires is a person to lead a party that has acceptance based on his vision. unfortunately the President designate has been playing a catching game with PM Modi, which is going to do little good. Everytime he goes after PM, he is made to look ridicule and childish.
Its time they realize that the only way to win people heart and votes is by projecting solution to their problems and connecting with them. I'm afraid this part is still missing.
if Congress needs to find its Mojo, it won't be a bad idea to try and hand command to a Non Gandhi young leader (may be in a region first). but i don't see it happening anytime soon.

I don't think any right minded sane person will join congress as far as he looks at the parties track record is concerned. There is no democracy in congress only 'high command' which dictated by 2 persons. How many interviews any one seen with sonia gandhi ? Can she talk on mass crowd at least 10 minutes with out looking on paper ? She grab all power with out accountability.

Rahul Gandhi is doing a good job over there and I support his actions.

There should always be a healthy balance between the champion and the challenger, that's how democracy works..

Having nobody to question the judgement of the 'supreme leader' means complete anarchy.
Actually Jimmy is doing better. That's bad for Rahul because Jimmy is a canine and not even in politics. Amul baby is just giving slogans with no substance.

Ultimately this is Modi's fault. The entire Gandhi family should have been arrested for treason, promoting terrorism, indulging in riots, spearheading the world's biggest corruption campaigns.

It's a matter of weighing out the pros and cons..The family had it's uses.. As for example, I don't think any contemporary leader could have handled the Khalistani situation or the Bangladesh event better than Indira Gandhi..

Maybe the challenger should realize he has lost and retire gracefully until the next round of contest. To keep pretending that every day is a contest and he will dethrone the champion by sprouting inanities every day and pulling lies after lies from his rear is not what democracy all about.
Indian democracy depends more on empty rhetoric than work on the ground. Modi's bombastic speeches made him popular first. He had to deliver too because he was not from the dynasty. But Amul baby has an advantage here. He can safely bark and stay relevant. With Modi focusing more on work and less on speeches, Rahul will get an empty field to score. A vacuum to fill. For the Indians the yojanas will be forgotten fast and the terms like suit boot will remain. They have looted this country for more than half a century. Only because they are truly capable of fooling the people. Never underestimate the power of the brain dead Prince, as he is amply backed by the powers that be.

Any power hungry leader would have done the same. Manekshaw's role in 71 is deliberately washed out.

Look at what Ed milliband did after he led liberals to massive defeat in UK recently . Tbh if Rahul and Sonia were to step down on may 16 last year am sure people would not have so haplessly lost respect for the grand old party of ours

There is no democracy in congress only 'high command' which dictated by 2 persons.
Thats the primary reason for the rout the party is facing. One family worship has led to this sorry state. & we are not sure that party has learnt this lesson yet.

Well thats what we are talking about, Accountability and Responsibility .
G Family holds the party with an iron grip and it is unthinkable for anyone in party to imagine a leadership beyond the Gandhi clan.
Consider this, when RG wasn't doing good, there were noises of bringing Priyanka in. Nobody even bothered to think beyond the family, even though she says that she isn't interested in entering active politics. No wonder there has been exodus of several state level leaders not to mention grass root workers to different parties. in the bargain, regional parties (especially AAP) have been big beneficiaries.
I would say that if they don't learn from this experience, the party might be finished for all practical purposes in next decade or so.

well after what happened in elections in 2004 (after a very good government run by Vajpayeeji), anything is possible in Indian politics. infact we can see the manipulation already started with this government being portrayed as Anti farmer in context of land bill amendment.

Only one suggestion to RaGa by ppl of India.

My point being, India did not have any other such leader at that time, some one who gave Kissinger and Nixon nightmares, someone who could take tough decision for the country.
And Manekshaw is heralded as a great hero, the only other Field Marshall after Cariappa, it's well documented. It should not be confused with publicity.

After getting 44 marks out of 543, he is not even a pass leader.
Maybe if its India's good luck then he will become mars leader after achieving Jupiter's escape velocity.

I agree with you Sometimes iron fist leadership is needed
