India Lost Kargil War

During kargil war India occupy two heights on the Pakistani side of the LoC, 4875 and 4251. later It has been decided to leave Points 5353, 5240, 4251 and 4875 unoccupied by both India pakistan. But India broke deal and capture pt 4250, 4875, 4251. Pakistan deperately capture pt 5353 and consolidate their.

So at last India capture more peaks....

How about we deal with the Kashmir issue in Kashmir and nowhere else? It is disputed property after all, lets avoid breaking international laws by crossing recognized borders.

In 1965, we have achieved our target of retaining status quo.

Kashmir may be disputed. But it is Indian territory for us. If you open a front in kashmir, you would have declared war against India. Everything is fair in love & WAR.

I know many indians will disagree or call me non patriotic and many will say this is already posted.

Kargil War was fought mainly to gain control over peak 5353 (Tiger hill).As this peak has a clear view of india's neck that is NH 1D .This highyway is strategic root betwwen siachen and LEh.As this peak is of very strategical imporatance India was unable to gain it back and pakistan can anytime have an upperhand on india by shelling or destroying this highway.This time there are solid bunkers and an iquipped Pakistan army.

Do you think it is a serious issue to worry?

Feed this to whoever needs it- took long enough to bloody scale the map with the coordinates and zero in on the spot with an accuracy of say 20-40 meters.

The main motive behind OP Badr was to seize sizeable chunk of Indian territory and then during negotiations force India to leave Siachen.

The plan failed. India got all peaks back(Barring 2-3 out of which only one is very important-Point 5353; That is surrounded by peaks under Indian control) and maintain presence in Saichin; by no way it can be said that India lost Kargil.

Infact, some time ago one source claimed that Pak has vacated Point 5353
