If the current government won't realise this despite being on the same page with the armed forces one can only be disappointed. Pakistan isn't willing to take the plunge. There is fear. Pakistan has nothing to fear. Pakistan is blessed with neighbors such as China and Iran. With Iran we might have some differences, but they can be overcome. We have many more commonalities than differences.
There is no doubt that Pakistan will feel the heat initially when ditching the West. Iran is a very good example, but they are surviving despite sanctions and boycott. We have to bundle our powers and resources. Pur enemies are the same. Our challanges are the same. A lot of things will change for Pakistan. Economically and otherwise. We will also have to face a covert war with the West which Pakistan essentially is already facing. It will get much worse. The hostility and vilification. Pakistan will be able to stand on its own feet for once. Regional alliances will become rhe main priority. Ni distractions and lollipops. Just one goal which is to work for regional prosperity and alliances.
Sooner or later, Pakistan will have to leave Western influence. That is a raging certainty. May as well do it now rather than later on.
