I think your chart purposely excluded some nations.

Exactly, thats whats i meant from the very beginning, the people who made the chart probably predicted China, India or US economy will be no where worth to mention or perhaps will be collapsed by then.
And not to mention of this so-called prediction from citi bank thats favouring India, people will speculate it might have something to do with the bank's agenda or even conspiracy theory that cos the CEO is an Indian American.
Conclusion: pick and choose the one that make you happy will be the key for such so-called predictions.:azn:

Well where ever you pick and chose, one thing for sure is that the top 3 always have China, USA and India.

Its about time China and India works together, with big economic growth, they should help each other to grow, then not settling they differences as soon as possible.

How many of these threads do we have to bear.

Request to make a separate thread for all these economic predictions and post all such crap there.

People, who don't want to improve that present are more interested in these future predictions.

Astrlogers, anyone?

By 2050 , it will be China , India and USA at top three , tht is sure .
But India surpassing China very difficult unless there is a war between USA and China .

U knw how Japan developed after World War II

Yet another glaring symptom of the incompetence and cluelessness of the economist profession.

GDP projections from PwC: how China, India and Brazil will overtake the West by 2050 | News | guardian.co.uk

The average prediction of the future ever came true is about 10% or less, however there are hundreds of economic predictions, pick and choose the one that make you happy will be the key.:partay:

2020? I think it is too optimistic.
Our population advantages was consumes over, now we need to expand domestic demand. Growth will slow I think.

.
This Chart is upside down. Between now and 2025, all these countries except for Brazil and Russia will have DECLINING GDP and even Russia will probably have a dip for a few years after the upcoming financial crisis begins. These CITI economists like most mainstream economists are clueless.

Let me show you an example regarding such economy prediction, China and India wasn't even in the chart: Really, it all depend on which one you will pick.

i've seen the story associated with this graph at the economist, they purposely did not include china , india and the us because their economies would be off the scale in this graph, that and the stories wasnt about us china or india

.
Well all I can say is, China and India are the Only two countries where the World is Hoping for a Future... And If We Unite, we Can Grow Better at a faster rate

That is a big IF there... but I guess I hope for a rational approach from both the countries' leadership to make this happen. The developing world and their economies have been pawns at the hand of the developed world for decades in modern times. Leadership and vision towards a better future for its citizens will shape the next few decades as both the countries develop at a fast pace and continue to challenge the western dominance.

The Views and Motives of Both the nations are the Same but the Way of approach is Different , If We could give up our egos and Start being Inter dependent we can Seal off the western Worlds, The land Disputes must be taken into consideration and we Must Talk...

folks i have jus one thing to say, we will supposedly become no. 1 in 2050 only if we start working NOW. let us not live in our dreams and hope we will be no. one in 2050. we have to work towards that and by "we" i mean each and every indian. let us do our part by electing right people. let us stop wasting electricity cas energy security is of paramount importance in coming decades. let us together fight corruption. then only we can hope to be no. by 2050.

I agree.. the sooner we resolve the disputes, the better it is... Best solution is finalize on the status quo regarding the border disputes. It needs to be settled without further delay. We can't wait further to go down under the Chinese pressure as it grows more powerful tilting the balance to a point of no return... Best to avoid a confrontation from both sides and look for an amicable settlement. Our foreign policies should prioritize this activity over dealing with Pakistan. That effort is leading nowhere.

.
Don Know about that...But Pakistan is biggest Terrorist exporter country.

hey dude dont bring offtopics inbetween.......... an try to be specific in future too.
