India Likely to Accept 1959 LAC

.
does anyone know why he keeps saying on twitter that there will be war between China and India in the next 5 years? why not 1 year or 20 years?

. . .

The frontline troops of China and India at the south and north banks of the Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh started synchronised and organized disengagement from Wednesday, the Chinese defence ministry spokesperson announced in Beijing.

There was no comment from the Indian side on the statement made by the Chinese defence ministry spokesperson Colonel Wu Qian, and carried by China's official media.

According to the consensus reached by the 9th round of the Commander-level talks between China and India, the frontline units of the Chinese and Indian armed forces began organised disengagement from North and South banks of the Pangong Lake from February 10, Wu said in a brief press release.

"Chinese and Indian frontline troops on the northern and southern banks of Pangong Lake began to disengage synchronously in a planned manner," Wu said.

The militaries of China and India have been engaged in a tense standoff in eastern Ladakh since early May last year. The two countries have held several rounds of military and diplomatic-level talks to resolve the face-off.

On January 24, the 9th round of China-India Corps Commander-level meeting was held on the Chinese side of the Moldo-Chushul border meeting point.

Because China is supposed to have acquired and matured certain technologies by 2025.

Pravin Sawney thinks that the Chinese have deliberately provoked the Indians into reneging certain treaties during the 2017 Doklam crises which were signed in the 1990s. These treaties prevented both countries from deploying division level forces on the border without informing each other. As India rushed to amass troops in Doklam in 2017, it gave China the opportunity to deploy 200,000 troops without notifying India.

According to Pravin Sawney, China wants India to deploy huge number of forces on the border to "study" them and this is what China has been doing since India's Galwan Valley surrender in June 2020. China will continue to grab this and that area on the border to check Indian reaction and also "study" India's military exercises.

Basically, PLA is experimenting with the Indian military so it can fine tune it's own fighting capabilities.

.
Correct.

Great going Modi.

After beating PLA to pulp in galwan, they wanted a facesaver

Ofcourse we should spare PLA the humiliation and let them quietly fall back

Ermm ..
1. China didn't occupy shit
2. They deployed 40K troops and all they wanted to achieve was to study our deployment. All this while India with their own satellite imagery is not going to study them ?

Quite a funny hypothesis you have

Another reason is that china realises that india can potentially rival china in the future if left unchecked. So basically the chinese are hoping that indian defense budget will go up, adding to economic troubles will result in collapse of the indian union.

Indians are thinkijg that if they meet chinese demands. then this will break china pak alliance.

Nothing short of a break up of the indian union will make china happy.however indians dont realise that no one has won a war by offering their *** to the enemy as sacrifice.

He’s right about the map shown on cctv and Indian media did take note at the time

A certain level of Chinese military modernization and infrastructure along the Indian border is expected to be completed in that time frame. Although he does mention that China expects to reach a higher level of modernization by 2035, and finally a full modernization by 2049.

Considering he has sat across the table from Chinese generals and is a retired Indian army officer, he has some credibility in offering a cautionary warning to his compatriots.

An Asian Thucydides Trap; The Indians wasted the last 30 years bogged down in Kashmir while the Chinese built up their economy during that time. Had India let Kashmir go in 1991, and spent all that energy and resources on its economy it could very well have been able to rival China to some extent by now, but we’ll never know.

The Chinese have been warning The Indians for years, but it seems (Most of) the Indians want to continue to live in a bubble. Frankly it’s embarrassing how frazzled the Indian generals become confronting China.

Almost, but not yet finished; 20 years left in their demographic window. At that point they will be stuck in the middle income trap, and then really finished (stuck with a high percentage of older citizens and low economic growth).

if they don’t minimize their defense spending and focus their efforts on economic development, then that will be their destiny.

the danger is, as they get more and more likely to be stuck, they will start acting more desperate (similar to a declining France nowadays) and will resort to more aggressive policies domestically and internationally (not necessarily military, but economically, politically, and culturally)
