India joins ‘satellite killer’ club after missile test success

The debris created from the destruction of these satellites is a serious hazard will be the death of all of us one day.

.
Satellites float in the space and follow a pre-determined path (orbital mechanics 101)..even an undergrad can calculate..in fact I did all such calculations so you can easily determine the position of the satellite at x0(r, t0). Now all you have to do is to aim the missile to reach at exactly this point at the same time. Satellite is a sitting duck.

. .
If you don't know anything about missile launches, then I suggest you stop wasting my time.:disagree:

We give warnings to the commercial ships in the area prior to the launch of any missile from Kalam Island. US maybe looking into every missile launches we do who knows.

The point is, India do not need US support for launching missiles, but if that helps you feel good about yourselves then why not. Believe whatever you want.:enjoy:

dont blame me half of India thinks this is just drama lol.

. .
I don't blame you for your ignorance. There are no discussion on US involvement whatsoever. Nice try at deflection.
Even Your opposition leader is calling it a theater lol. You still think world dont know what happened?

.
Damn it Modi now we will have to match you. 1-2 years you will see a similar capability from Pakistan now.
However thing is does India want to mess with China on this, since Pakistan can use Chinese satellites for military applications.

.
For the Pakistanis here, shooting down satellites is not in your domain. Ask the Chinese to hand over their ASAT missile. That should satiate your honor and dignity, or else, as already stated, fire a couple of Nasrs.

Viola! This satellite travel at around 8000 m/s in LEO.

You are talking about Geosynchronous satellites, where the satellite stays stationary with respect to earth.

What can I say about people who can not read "Orbital".

Making satellites is something that even university students wll do. Launching them in space is real job. And shooting them down is at another level.

Beeta itna vhi koi vada kaam nahi. Satellites orbits are known. With the help of GPS and working on the co-ordinate any good missile would bring the satellite down. You just need missile capable of launching in the near earth space.

you just shot a Sat 300 km in altitude. So I have no problem with it. Because Pakistani remote sensing Sat is 670 km in altitude and for India to reach there will take another decade. China shot down a sat 645 km in space and Russia was not satisfied with them as a capable shoot down of Sat. Sorry bro I don't know what Modi feeds you but you are not there yet.

Yaar bachion no khoosh honttte de.

.
Don't they move in a fixed orbit!! With the movement of the Earth!!
Please don't tell me that they go around the earth in an orbit on a fixed spot assigned to them. :o::o:

:DDon't make these kind of statements that are very nontechnical to even figure out. Fixed orbit with the movement of earth?o_O Every satellite have a fixed orbit around the earth irrespective of it's type.

Even Your opposition leader is calling it a theater lol. You still think world dont know what happened?
Opposition leader who? I care less about the politics of it, what I'm talking about is we tested an ASAT weapon, only three countries in the world have tested successfully so far. It is a great achievement.

. . .
we have no threat from this capability but we should spend our money on navy and missile defense where we are facing direct threat

Despite me not making technical, Indians still had problem.
I in simple terms try to describe both Geostationary and orbital Satellites.
Every sensible person knows that Satellites are launched on a specific co-ordinates assigned.
If it is geostationary or not.
