India-Japan ties worrying China?

If I have potential enemies, and they start to co-operate, I would become concerned.

China is concerned democracies in Asia will create a defense pact along the lines of NATO, which would be aligned against any Chinese aggression.

India is concerned by the ongoing co-operation of China and Pakistan (ongoing for decades).

I don't understand why people derail the thread with off topic remarks. This is a very simple common sense topic.

actually we must be thankful to china for waking up sleeping gov of diff nation and take note of their defence capabilities and inter-relationship with other nations ..... Good job China keep it up.

You indians can never erase your shame at the hands of the Islamic overlords and Anglo overlords because you only liberated yourself since 1947, you do not rule over your former overlords the Islamic world (Pakistan) or the Anglos (UK).

But Han Chinese rule Inner Mongolia and Manchuria. In fact, these two territories have been part of China since the 17th century. Fact is, Han Chinese have already exacted our revenge on neighboring tribes many times over, but you indians don't know our history.

TBH I don't think our ties have matured to a certain level that it would worry China. While we have very friendly ties with Japan, the Japanese are yet to come out of their post-45 cocoon of self-guilt and self-hate in order to be militarily significant. No matter how many swanky weapons they make or induct, it is their ideology that has to change if at all they want to keep east Asia stable. That is what China is strong in. It doesn't hold any self-hate or self-guilt that Japanese or even for that matter we Indians do to some extent.

I would consider our ties with Japan strong enough only when we see the following level of cooperation rising:

This is called Karma. There is Golden rule "Do not do to others what would anger you if done to you by others." China wants to encircle other country, but it doesn't like when other countries try to encircle china. How Nice and Hypocritical ? Cant really see how these ties are bothering China when China has done large currency swaps with Japan. I think it should worry India that they are been left behind by a country similar in population

i dont see any reason for China to worry about the tie....our defence ties are not strong..not yet....the way its growing am sure it will not takemuch time before I see India and Japan having a strong tie.....infact japan - India relationship has the potential to become the best relationship for both the countries in asia...but thats gonna take time.
