India is taking our jobs. It is not going to happen anymore, folks!” - Trump

Many net Safronis from India are rooting for Trump it would be interesting to see their reaction now

Personally, I think he is a megalomaniacal jackass, who is not a real conservative, not a real Republican Party member, but he has tapped into a deep seething anger among a large sector of the American people. I don't know if it's enough for him to beat Sen. Clinton in November, but it's out there, and one can feel it. People are pissed.

The way to look at Trump is to understand that unlike many other democracies, America has only two very large, "catch-all" political parties. (We still have dozens of minor ones that are on every ballot, but Americans just don't vote for them.) So Sen. Bernie Sanders, Hillary's rival, belonged to a regional socialist party, but "caucuses" sits with the Democratic Party. Just as Trump is really, just using the Republican Party. He is really the American version of say, France's National Front, or the Netherlands' Party of Freedom.
His campaign is based on fear and resentment of the population and he is channeling it on outsiders it will work for elections but he will not be a very good diplomat and his hawkish policies may cause new tensions in already tense Mid East and South China Sea region.
He may be good for the US economy and internal politics but on a global scale his proposed policies will create new trouble in already troubled regions

Of course, we are assuming he can get elected in November. His biggest problem there is demographics. You cannot win the presidency of the United States without wining a fairly large share of the black and Latino vote. There is just no mathematical way to do it. Mitt Romney got the highest percentage of white votes in many, many, decades....and lost in a landslide in the Electoral College, to a weak, unpopular president. White, working class anger, is not enough.

.
president Trump please, that he's taken on and called out everyone across the political spectrum for the middle east mess, he called out the Sauds and Turkey, he's said he'll work with Putin to clear out the terrorists, he's not in favor of helping the Syrian rebels aka jihadis..

those things trump anything else he might have said as far as I'm concerned.

About fukking time someone finally woke up and put the finger in the right place. If we hadn't gone offshore under the Indian lobby's $$$$ and lobbyists, we would've had more than 20 million high paying jobs in the US today. And 12 million more that we gave to Indians here on Technical Work Visas. While our girls and boys serving the military can't find a job after leaving the service. This is the height of corruption and putting our own nation below other countries interest and it MUST be changed!!!

America first and always first!!!! I'd love to see if Indians and Chinese can give Americans 10 million high paying jobs. That would never happen, never!!

'
Yup, America first. Well, there are over 20 million high tech IT jobs that were sent to India as "off shoring" due to cheap labor. About 12 million were given to Indians here who came in on Technical Visas, again, through paid $$$$, lobby and the anthem of "cheap labor". Sad part is, those jobs could've been given to the American labor but our great business leaders looked at India as a bigger market and with $$$$ paid in corruption. So they decided, screw the average American, let's go to India and bring them here.

Hope this clarifies. Not sure what field you are in and you don't know this.

Asian students(Asian americans and foreign born) constitute 6.5% of total student population in your universities. But they constitute more than 55 percent of your graduate students in engineering, and computer sciences fields. First you have to address that before you start worrying about foreigners taking your IT and Engineering jobs.

@jamahir The downfall of capitalist USA is on the offing, what say ? :D

you misunderstand the situation. :)

it really will be more of the it/services/manufacturing jobs in india that will be non-existent if he becomes president.

the indian it/services industry is not critical to the functioning of usa ( or any part of the world ), which is why the post-2007 economic slump in usa has had such big effect in india... in a prominent case, tens of thousand of ibm-india employees were removed suddenly in early 2014... and not only foreign companies having base in india but indian it/services companies like tcs are affected... in end 2014, 35,000 employees of tcs were removed suddenly... perhaps you know that poona which had all these ridiculous "start-ups" and engineering college students flocking to them for wage-slavery, are no longer choice destinations because these companies under huge losses or are otherwise not operating... in 2014 itself i was told by a advertising professional that huawei ( the chinese telecom company ) which has a office in delhi has cut down on employee provisions like tea/coffee dispensers.

so donald trump becoming president will be worse for the useless engineers and mba's of india. :)

Most of Indian bpo sectors moved to south east countries like Philippines. Trump is just trolling publicity .

there was the rest of the it/services sector and that has for years been under loss... i describe some of this above.

none of that is going to happen, a Trump presidency would be great for India - US relations, both military and trade.

and not that you'd ever like to visit that evil capitalist hell hole, but just in case you did, you might trouble getting a visa lol

.
"The Donald" will not be good for Indians, Muslims of any nationality, Mexican immigrants, and pretty much any of our traditional allies outside of NATO, Israel, Japan, South Korea, maybe a couple of others and that's it.
It doesnt really matter who your president is,he/she cant really decide anything on his/her own,or am i wrong?

.
InshAllah Trump 2016 :D

You can understand his appeal to the average Joe and he can upset Clinton in the general elections.

I read somewhere that even within the unions a traditional democratic base there is growing support for him because of his rhetoric to bring jobs back to the U.S

Also because of Clinton's support to NAFTA

True .... but Trump will never be President. :disagree:

And our Women!

THOSE DAMN BROWN PEOPLE WITH THEIR KAMA SUTRA!

The only reason jobs are going overseas is because Americans want their investments to pay dividends. Americans made this choice back in the 80s. By buying stock in companies they were given the option, make a few percent return. Or allow the companies to ship entire factories overseas and make triple that return.

Well it turns out it was only good for the first decade, the next not so much.

OH and their damn exotic accents!

This is nothing to do with 'safronis', it has do with business and national interests of India. As one of your newspaper published in its editorial

" On the subject of India, however, they would differ. In January, Trump declared “India is doing great”. Viewing the world through a real estate prism, and with two towers going up in Mumbai and Pune, he is enamoured by our neighbour. He also views Narendra Modi as a fellow businessman who can get deals done (that can be the only explanation for his comment in August 2014 that India’s “new PM has done a fantastic job of bringing people together”.) A US under Trump would likely gravitate towards India, giving Delhi more space to challenge Pakistan’s counterterrorism track record."

Trump nightmare - Newspaper - DAWN.COM

I believe Trump paranoid attitude regarding China will be augur good for India.

Yes, you are wrong. We have a powerful presidential system. We have no prime minister or parliamentary system. The president is both Head of State and Head of Government in one man or woman. The president runs foreign policy, is the undisputed commander-in-chief of the armed forces, can sign executive orders into being, can veto legislation he doesn't like and then it can only pass by a 2/3rd's vote, etc. The House of Representatives has the "power of the purse" and the Senate has the power to block presidential appointees to any office, clock treaties or agreements with other countries, etc.
