India is on the backfoot, International community is concerned about the situition in kashmir

Honestly however I slice and dice I don't see how this stupid Modi move is going to be good for India. It is giving me headaches trying to understand it and the only explanation I can think of are like of the self-assured despots like Saddam Hussain or Siad Barre of Somalia deciding to ride on their domestic successes to take disastrous foreign policy decisions.

Mr. Modi is probably the most efficient, the most un-tainted, and the most sincere of all Indian leaders for at least 30 years. But he may well have done the mistake of the Saddam or the Barre: Launching into the uncharted, risky foreign entanglement...

Problem is that his Hindutva ideology is based on hate and anti Mulslims.
He has painted himself into a corner and has no choice but to go full retard.

Just like Hitler's ideology force him to launch attacks on the soviet union, even though they had a treaty.

If Hitler did not go full retard, he would have had to only fight the western countries and not worry about the USSR, who were the ones who defeated him in the end.

No, the war with Soviet union had many reasons and most of then where very real. Although his interference with the armys plans and strategies is what really caused the loss.

That being said I've thought about this move by the Indians too and I have come to the same conclusion as @Meengla did. This makes absolutely no sense, from any point if view. The only thing that I can musker up is that the Indian government thought no one would say or do anything. That Pakistan might put heat on the border but not do anything else. That China is far too busy to do anything worth damaging their stance. That the US has no need for Pakistan anymore and is going to be all buddy buddy with Indians. Thay Russia and the EU wouldnt say anything either. This is the only conclusion I could come up with and this is total insanity. It's pure delusional and stupid on their part.

Wait please. Pakistan objected to revocation of article 370 and 35A. Don't you think as long as these two laws remains in shelves, its too early to claim it a victory?

Indian decision makers never would have thought Pak's reaction will go international, considering there "past record". But definitely times have changes. Things have gone past articles of indian constitution. Had supreme court of india not adjourned the plea, things would have been different.

How do you know they did not anticipate this? From 1965 to 1999, Pakistan has left no stones unturned to internationalize Kashmir issue. You think going by your 'past records' it was not obvious that you would go to UN after abrogation of article 370? Whether this constitutional maneuver survives in court or not time will tell, but Kashmir remains a bilateral issue which can not be changed as Pakistan wanted it to be.

Tell me an issue which was bilateral bw two countries but was discussed at unsc.

No it's not past record... it's failure of our foreign office and politicians who have allowed Indian to go on accusation rampage without a shred of evidence.
Our politicians are at fault who gave Indians transit rights and did not objected with Iran for letting your army camp next to our strategic port Gawadar.
it was fault of Yousaf Reza gillani who handed over evidence of Indian involvement in terrorism inside Pakistan to Modi instead of giving it to UN.
I can only call those idiots, who believe destroying Pakistani AWACS and PC3 orions, terrorists were not serving Indians and yet Pakistani officials failed to explain this to world.

One of the two popular narratives floating is what you said. Please understand, discussing is not mediating. Kashmir still is a bilateral issue (Shimla agreement is still in effect) and abrogation of article 370 is still India's internal matter. No one so far has objected to these basic facts.

This is the problem. If you had evidence of Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan why don't you ever publish them? You have caught Kulbhushan Yadav. With his testimony you could have come up with concrete proof of Indian hands if any behind the unfortunate attacks that happened. But rest of the world just kept waiting and waiting. Nothing came except empty dossiers.

You terrorist Doval himself claimed that they will use money to incite violence and terror in Baluchistan.

. .
Bilateral after a unilateral action by India? How long are you gonna feed yourself that delusion?
Article 370 was a provision under Indian constitution made by Indian legislators way after UN declared Kashmir a disputed territory. It has nothing to do with Pakistan.

You terrorist Doval himself claimed that they will use money to incite violence and terror in Baluchistan.
Even I can claim I will blow up Empire state building. I said what evidence do Pakistan have? Its you claiming Indian involvement and you have proof. Where are they?
