What's new

India is now a $2-trillion economy

IMF have their 2014 data released earlier this year, and now this is World Bank which just released their 2014 data in the last couple of days (check their refreshed their database) so it isn't exactly an old news.

Though World Bank 2014 data ($2.0669T) are very close to those released by IMF ($2.0495T), just minor differences of less than a percent.

As for 2014 , what is the economic year considered by IMF and WB ?? Also China ??

In India , an economic year is April 1 till March 31 next year .

The good point is now no member can say India is not 2 Trillion Dollar Economy as this fact has been verified and backed by World Bank.

As if 2 trillion is a big deal. Still a low income country, no different than Pakistan.
