That is debatable.....It was the same landmass but under different rules by different rulers at different times....the British were probably the first who actually covered every single inch of what is now Bangladesh Pakistan and India. I do not think the countries that were a part of the Mongol empire actually say they were one country once.
May be then India would allow parliamentary elections in BD.
Bangladesh should be in the indian union. The name can be east-bengal or awami pradesh. May be then India would allow parliamentary elections in BD.
I'm glad that BD officials are starting to drop off their facade of BD being a sovereign nation. The sooner, the better.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯I guess you're next.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, then it's just going to be "baar baar Modi Sarkar" then.Bangladesh should be in the indian union. The name can be east-bengal or awami pradesh. May be then India would allow parliamentary elections in BD.
you had to slowly and finally realise it wasn't the brightest of ideas to base it on religion above all things
You have to consider how the Muslims of Bengal suffered under the two parallel oppression. One by British overlords and their protege Hindu Zamindars and gentiles. When the Muslim leaders of Bengal convinced the British to form a separate East Bengal-Assam Province, the elite Hindus undid it.
The result was the formation of All-India Muslim League in Dhaka in 1910. This ML went to the forefront of then politics and separated Pakistan from the mainland India. The Hindu oppression was responsible for the growth of insecurity and insularity of the Muslims of Bengal at that period. You have to blame the Babu Bangalis for this.
See you guys made it a Hindu Zamindar thing instead of just Zamindar thing like in rest of India.
It was the ground reality. Brits handed over all the lands to the their hindu boot lickers in Bengal. Muslim became landless beggars within days.
