In the above video telecasted yesterday The two gentlemen argue that First time in the history of India-Pakistan, India is in position that allow it not to engage with Pakistan as compulsion because of the widening differential between the two countries.

But otoh pakistan has no other option but to engage with India as the differential is keep widening.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i must say it bluntly that it is just your dream and wishful thinking that india will have to engage with pakistan for entry into NSG.

We punched weaker than our size till 2004. With 6.7 times the population of Pakistan, it is natural to have 6.7 times the economy. The only reason we had to pay Pakistan more heed than was natural was because of this as they spend most of their money on buying weapons against us or sponsoring terrorism.

We equaled our size only in 2004.

We have barely crossed them with 9.25 times and already Pakistan has almost completely faded as a diplomatic or military challenge.

They are now non-entities on the diplomatic scene or military scene.

Imagine, what would happen when(not if) we increase the comparison to over 20.00 times.

We need to engage with China. For better or worse, either we offer them a deal they cannot refuse or threaten them over something.

Pakistan is a non-entity in the global diplomatic scene. Its only China that is the obstacle.

GDP or say economy may not be the only criteria but it is the most important factor.
The gentlemen in the video did not exactly define the parameter on what his assumption was based upon
But my assumption is the differential they are talking about which is keep widening is the economy and the chart I posted above clearly illustrate that.

as far as NSG is concerned It will come to us sooner than later.

Fortunately we a Government now after 10 years that is actually focusing on doing something for the country.

The wheels are in motion. GST, Aadhar Act(to target subsidies), Bankruptcy Act are all moving India in one direction - revolution in how the country runs.
The results will start to show by 2019.

And we haven't even begun yet!

the compulsion came from USA, pakistan's ex-ally. Now their relationship being not so great, we dont face much international pressure. China is still punching below her weight, but it can change in future.
